💪 Progress > Perfection 💪

Healing isn’t always fast—and it’s rarely easy. But every stretch, every rep, every small step forward adds up.

Some days will feel strong. Some days will feel slow. Both matter.

In physical therapy, we’re not just rebuilding strength—we’re rebuilding confidence, movement, and independence.

Keep showing up. Keep putting in the work. Your future self will thank you 🙌

💡 Know Your Muscles = Move Better, Feel Better

Understanding what your muscles actually do can help you prevent injury and get more out of every workout. Here’s a simple breakdown:

💪 Core (Abs & Lower Back)
Your stability center—helps with balance, posture, and protecting your spine

🦵 Glutes
Powerhouse muscles for walking, running, and standing up—also key for low back support

🦿 Quadriceps (Front of Thigh)
Help you straighten your knee—used in walking, stairs, and squats

🦵 Hamstrings (Back of Thigh)
Bend your knee and help control movement when you walk or run

🦶 Calves
Push you forward when you walk, run, or jump

💪 Shoulders
Allow you to lift, reach, and carry

🦾 Back Muscles
Support posture and help you pull and lift safely

When these muscle groups are strong and working together, your body moves more efficiently—and with less pain.

Take care of your body, and it will take care of you 💙

🌀 Preventing Low Back Pain Starts with the Little Things

Your daily habits matter more than you think. Protect your back and keep moving strong with these simple tips:

✅ Stay Active – Sitting too long? Get up and move every 30–60 minutes
✅ Strengthen Your Core – A strong core supports your spine
✅ Mind Your Posture – Sit and stand tall, don’t slump
✅ Lift Smart – Bend your knees, keep the weight close
✅ Stretch It Out – Tight hips & hamstrings can pull on your lower back

🚫 Common Mistakes
• Slouching at your desk
• Lifting with your back instead of your legs
• Ignoring early stiffness or discomfort
• Skipping warm-ups before activity

Small changes today can prevent bigger problems tomorrow. Your back will thank you 💪

🏃‍♂️ Good Form vs. Bad Form: It Matters More Than You Think

Not all miles are created equal. The way you run can either move you forward… or hold you back.

✅ Good Running Form
• Tall posture, eyes forward
• Relaxed shoulders (no tension!)
• Quick, light steps
• Landing under your body—not way out in front
• Smooth, controlled movement

❌ Poor Running Form
• Slouching or leaning too far forward
• Tense shoulders and clenched fists
• Overstriding (landing too far ahead)
• Heavy heel striking
• Excessive bouncing

Small adjustments can make a BIG difference—less pain, better performance, and fewer injuries.

If something feels off, it probably is. Don’t ignore it 👀

FACT vs. FICTION 🏐

❌ Fiction: All soreness after a game is normal.
✅ Fact: General muscle soreness is common — sharp, persistent, or worsening pain is not.

Knowing the difference can prevent a small issue from becoming season-ending.
If you’re unsure, get it checked.
