June 17, 2026, is a day many of us will never forget. In a matter of moments, lives were changed and our communities were reminded of both the power of nature and the importance of coming together during difficult times.

We are keeping all of the families, residents, first responders, utility crews, and volunteers in our thoughts and prayers as they begin the difficult process of recovery. In times like these, we are reminded of the strength, resilience, and compassion that make our communities so special.

The way you start your morning sets the tone for everything that follows. 🌅

You don't need a perfect 2-hour routine to feel your best. Small, intentional habits done consistently make all the difference.

Here's a gentle morning routine worth trying:

💧 Hydrate first — Before coffee, reach for a full glass of water. Your body has been without it all night.
🧘 Move your body — Even 5-10 minutes of light stretching or deep breathing helps wake up your nervous system and release overnight tension.
☀️ Get some natural light — Step outside or sit by a window. Natural light signals your brain that it's time to be alert and helps regulate your sleep cycle for that night.
🍽️ Eat a nourishing breakfast — Fuel your body with something real. How you nourish yourself in the morning affects your energy, mood, and focus all day.
📵 Delay the scroll — Give yourself at least 20-30 minutes before checking your phone. Protect your peace before the world gets in.

Here's how it works:

Most chiropractors are trained to locate areas of stiffness by feeling the joints. Our approach goes a step further by using your body's own reflexes to identify the exact source of nerve interference.

You may be familiar with the reflex test at your doctor's office — where they tap your knee and it jerks up. We use a similar concept, but with the Achilles tendon reflex at the ankle. This reflex sends a signal from your ankle up to your brain and back down, allowing us to detect any interference along that neurological pathway.

Did you know that June is also International Hip Dysplasia Awareness Month? 💜

Fun fact: Dr. Brianna was actually diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia at the age of 14 after she had an injury to her hip. She was referred to an amazing surgical team at Barnes Jewish Hospital who she has seen for the past 10+ years to get the proper treatment she needed at the right time. She is a very strong advocate now for hip pain and making sure it is treated properly when pain occurs.

Here are some fascinating facts about hips:

🦴 Your hips help support your body weight when you stand, walk and run
🔄 The hip is a ball-and-socket joint, allowing movement in many directions
💪 The hips are designed to be both strong and flexible
👶 Babies are born with softer hip joints that continue developing after birth
🏃 Healthy hips are essential for balance, posture and movement
