🌟 Learning, exploring, and having fun! 🚑

Our team visited with the kids at AtlantiCare Camp SOAR at Oakcrest High School. Participants had the opportunity to tour one of our ambulances, see the equipment EMTs use everyday, and learn what it takes to work in Emergency Medical Services. From patient care to teamwork and serving the community, our crew enjoyed sharing how EMS professionals make a difference everyday. Thank you to Camp SOAR for having us! ❤️💙

🚑💙 What an incredible week celebrating National Night Out with the communities we proudly serve!

Our team met residents, shared safety information, and showcased the resources that help us provide EMS for our region. We were proud to participate in events throughout Lower Township, Upper Township, Dennis Township, Linwood, Northfield, Mullica Township, and Hammonton, while also making appearances in Ocean City and Galloway Township.

From our ambulances and Medical Ambulance Bus to our Technology Support Units and Aeromedical Flight Team, we brought a wide range of EMS resources to these community events. We were also got to spend time alongside our friends and partners from AtlantiCare Community Health and Ambulatory Nursing, who represented AtlantiCare additionally in Egg Harbor Township, Galloway Township, Manahawkin, and Absecon.

Thank you to all the law enforcement agencies who coordinated all of these events and to all of the fire departments, EMS, healthcare, and community partners who helped make National Night Out a success.

Most importantly, thank you to the residents who stopped by to say hello and learn more about the services available in their communities!

🚒🔥 Teamwork in Action! 🔥🚑

Today, we responded with the Egg Harbor Township Fire Department, EHT EMS and other local public safety agencies in response to a trash fire at the ACUA facility in Egg Harbor Township.

Our EMS special operations team supported rehab for firefighters, incident operations, monitor responder safety, and ensure emergency medical resources were available throughout the event. We are grateful for the dedication and collaboration demonstrated by all agencies involved. Incidents like this highlight the strength of our regional partnerships and the commitment of first responders working together to protect our communities.

🚦 August is Traffic Safety Awareness Month! This is a good reminder that safety on the roadway protects everyone—patients, crews, and our community.

At AtlantiCare EMS, emergency vehicle operations safety isn’t an afterthought. Our team completes formal emergency vehicle operations training (including CEVO-5 with a road course) because how we drive matters just as much as how we treat.

We also align our response practices with the best available evidence: national guidance and research show that lights-and-siren responses often provide only marginal time savings for many medical calls, while increasing crash risk.

That’s why we utilize an evidence-based, criteria-driven non‑emergent response policy for calls without an obvious or anticipated life threat—helping reduce unnecessary risk and keeping patients, staff, and the public safer.

As we commemorate National New Jersey Day, it is especially meaningful during America’s 250th Anniversary celebration. New Jersey earned the nickname “The Crossroads of the Revolution” and played a critical role in our nation's fight for independence. As our country marks 250 years of freedom, we honor the generations of New Jerseyans whose dedication, service, and sacrifice helped build the nation we know today.

🚑☀️ Learning, Exploring, and Building Community! ☀️🚑

Our team joined our local public safety partners at the Middle Township Police Youth Camp! Participants had the opportunity to meet our EMTs, tour our ambulances, and get a hands-on look at some of the equipment we use in EMS.

This event gave young people a chance to learn about public safety, ask questions, and explore potential future careers while building positive relationships with first responders, law enforcement, fire fighters and EMS. Thank you to the Middle Township PD for inviting us!
