The truth is, I’ve always questioned whether I belong. Growing up in a strict religious community, I always felt like an outsider. And sometimes I still question whether I fit in. There’s people who don’t understand me. There’s groups that have rejected me. I have always just wanted to find a crowd that “gets me.”
Here’s what I’ve learned. Sometimes it’s easier to think about escaping something rather than staying and working things out. A reset means you don’t have to face the hard stuff, you can run as far away as possible and still be as much of a loner as you always were.
But sometimes it’s okay to stay exactly where you are. To work things out, to believe that people actually do care, that you have a place to call home, wherever you are.💕
