Shoulder pain isn’t always caused by the spot that hurts the most.
One of the biggest misconceptions about shoulder pain is that treatment should only focus on the painful area. In reality, shoulder dysfunction often involves the rotator cuff, upper trapezius, muscles underneath the shoulder blade (scapula), the neck, the base of the skull, and even muscles that refer pain down the arm.
That’s why every dry needling treatment at our office is personalized. After a thorough exam, I target the muscles that are actually contributing to your symptoms—not just where you feel the pain.
Dry needling may help:
✔️ Shoulder pain
✔️ Rotator cuff pain
✔️ Neck pain and stiffness
✔️ Tension headaches
✔️ Pain between the shoulder blades
✔️ Muscle knots and trigger points
✔️ Limited shoulder mobility
✔️ Pain that travels into the arm
✔️ Muscle tightness from workouts or repetitive activities
This treatment can be a great option for athletes, weightlifters, CrossFit athletes, golfers, tennis players, desk workers, manual laborers, and anyone dealing with chronic muscle tension or shoulder dysfunction.
If shoulder pain has been keeping you from sleeping, working, lifting, or enjoying your daily activities, we’d love to help you find the source—not just cover up the symptoms.
