Exciting week at EP Speech Pathology PLLC and Concussion Management Clinic.
Studio 9 in the house! 🎥 Interview went well. Informing the public about our Concussion Management Clinic and services we're offering. Nervous about being on camera, but excited to get the word out on what our practice is doing for our community. Had a blast with Robert Bettes, Raul Martinez and crew.

National Concussion Awareness Day 🧠
Concussions in athletes are extremely common. In fact, about 3.8 million concussions occur each year in the U.S. from sports-related injuries. The Center for Disease Control estimates that 5-10% of athletes will experience a concussion in any given sports season

On National Concussion Awareness Day, start the conversation to increase concussion awareness nationally, raise funds for brain injury charitable organizations and show support for those suffering through social media, community events and press coverage. The goal of this day is that those suffering the effects of mild traumatic brain injuries feel supported by their community and feel empowered to share their story, connect with one another and act to raise global consciousness of the concussion epidemic.

National Concussion Awareness Day is a chance for healthcare practitioners, teachers, coaches and parents to connect and discuss baseline testing, signs and symptoms and the social and emotional issues that can result from mild traumatic brain injury.
