Believe it or not, these are just a few things that can hurt more than an EMG. 👀

If you have an EMG coming up, it's completely understandable to feel a little nervous. While the test can cause some temporary discomfort, it's quick and provides valuable information about how your nerves and muscles are functioning.

The results can help your provider better understand what's causing your symptoms and determine the best path forward for your care. That means getting one step closer to answers, a diagnosis, and the right treatment plan.

Our team is here to make the experience as comfortable as possible, answer your questions, and support you throughout the process. A few moments of discomfort can be well worth getting the answers you need. 💙

✨ It’s Wellness Tip Wednesday! This week, Anthony is talking about one of the most overlooked parts of fitness—recovery. 💪
🏋️ It’s easy to think that the more you work out, the faster you’ll see results, but your body actually gets stronger between workouts. Recovery is when your muscles repair, adapt, and rebuild, helping you improve performance while reducing your risk of injury.

😴 Prioritizing quality sleep, staying hydrated, eating a balanced diet with enough protein, managing stress, and allowing your body time to rest are all essential parts of the recovery process. Recovery doesn’t always mean doing nothing—it can also include light movement, stretching, mobility work, or active recovery to keep your body feeling its best.

⚠️ Ignoring recovery can lead to fatigue, decreased performance, persistent soreness, and even overuse injuries that can keep you out of the gym for weeks. Listening to your body and giving it the time it needs to recover is just as important as the workout itself.

💙 Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or training for your next big goal, remember: rest is part of the plan, not a break from it.

✨ There’s nothing more powerful than hearing a real patient’s story.
🙌 In this video, Mr. Higgerson shares his experience with the NEUFIT® Neubie Master Reset and how it became part of his recovery journey. From his first treatment to the progress he experienced along the way, he offers an honest look at what the process was like and how it helped him get back to feeling and moving better.

⚡ The Neubie Master Reset uses direct current electrical stimulation to help improve communication between the brain and body, reduce muscle tension, support recovery, and promote healthier movement patterns. When combined with physical therapy, it can be an effective tool for addressing pain, improving function, and helping patients reach their goals.

💙 Every recovery journey is unique, and we’re grateful to patients like Mr. Higgerson for trusting us with their care and sharing their experiences. If you’re dealing with pain, recovering from an injury, or looking for innovative treatment options, our team is here to help.

🩻 Preparing for the Netflix documentary…
👀 When the MSK ultrasound identifies the shoulder impingement in real time after the MRI didn’t provide the answer.
One of the biggest advantages of musculoskeletal ultrasound is the ability to assess structures dynamically while the shoulder is moving. In some cases, this can reveal issues that aren’t as apparent on static imaging alone. Every patient is different, which is why choosing the right diagnostic tool matters.
✨ At Spine & Rehab Specialists, we use advanced diagnostic technologies like MSK ultrasound and EMG/NCS to help us get answers and guide the best treatment plan for each patient. Hands-On Diagnostics

👋 Are you dealing with numbness or tingling in your ring and pinky fingers, or pain around your elbow, and assuming it will just go away? 💻
Those symptoms could be cubital tunnel syndrome. In this video, Anthony explains what causes cubital tunnel syndrome, how the ulnar nerve becomes compressed at the elbow, and the symptoms you might experience. Early evaluation is important because addressing the problem before it progresses can help relieve symptoms, protect the ulnar nerve, and prevent long-term weakness or loss of hand function.

✨ We’re switching things up a little this week! Instead of our usual format, we’re featuring our very own PT, Joe, to share this week’s wellness tip. 🙌
🤕 Hurt does not always mean harm.
Pain can be alarming, but it doesn’t always mean you’ve caused damage to your body. Sometimes pain is your body’s way of telling you to pay attention—not necessarily that something is seriously injured. Understanding the difference can help you stay active, recover with confidence, and avoid unnecessary fear of movement.
💪 If you’re dealing with pain that’s lingering, limiting your daily activities, or you’re unsure what’s causing it, don’t just push through it. A physical therapist can help identify the source of your symptoms and create a plan to get you moving safely again.
✨ Stay tuned for more Wellness Tip Wednesdays as we share simple, evidence-based tips to help you move better, feel better, and live healthier!
