By sharing their experiences and feelings in a peer support group, families learn that they are not alone and that there is hope for their future.

CGC creates compassionate and inclusive spaces that promote healing and well-being among grieving children, youth, and their families through community-based grief support groups, individual and family services, and grief-informed education and advocacy. We are a non-profit organization that provides healing and hope in a safe and loving environment for grieving children, teens and their families

following the death of a loved one. Our goal is to strengthen the lives of grieving children and families by providing loving support and life affirming skills in a safe environment. We value the conscious choice that families make in committing to the difficult work of grief and support them through their efforts.

Seven years ago today, our community lost 23 beloved lives in an act of hate at Walmart.

Behind each name is a family forever changed — parents, children, siblings, and friends still carrying this grief. We are proud to be a resource in this resilient community for finding support and a path to healing after unimaginable loss.

We are still filled with gratitude and motivation after last week’s 2026 National Alliance for Children’s Grief Symposium in San Antonio!
The whole CGC team got to attend alongside nearly 600 fellow grief professionals — an incredible community to be part of! We were also honored to have our CEO, Kathy Revtyak, join the NACG Research & Evaluation panel, sharing insights on how evaluation strengthens everyday practice and improves outcomes for grieving children and families.

Thank you to NACG for creating such a supportive space for this community to connect, learn, and keep showing up for the children and families we serve. And thank you to Childrens Bereavement Ctr S TX for opening your doors to us on Monday night! 🦋💙
