Registration for the Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Craniosynostosis Surgery Symposium is open!

Directed by Dr. David Yates, Medical Director of Craniofacial Surgery, and Dr. Ziyad Makoshi, Medical Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery, this event will provide an exciting opportunity to learn, collaborate, and advance the treatment of craniosynostosis.

November 5-7, 2026

The symposium will be offering two courses:

Craniosynostosis Surgical Course:
Two-day course covering minimally invasive techniques for treating all types of craniosynostosis.

Cranial Molding/Orthotic Course:
Learn best practices in post-operative cranial orthotic planning, troubleshooting, and patient management.

Our Pediatric Diabetes Education Services and the Empower Program hosted our annual cooking class for patients with diabetes and pre-diabetes!  Patients received a recipe book and ingredients to cook a delicious healthy meal and dessert provided by our friends at the El Paso Downtown Lions Club. 

This year, we had the privilege to work with Executive Chef Andrés Padilla, a James Beard Award winner and Michelin Star chef from Paso Del Norte Hotel who led the class. 

We had such a fun time and it was a tasty learning experience! 🧑‍🍳✨

El Paso Children’s Hospital proudly hosted its First Annual Pediatric Specialty Conference, bringing together local pediatric specialists, nurses, emergency medical professionals, coaches, and athletic trainers from across the region.

This 2-day conference was established to enhance their professional practice through evidence-based education and expert insight.

The program emphasized practical education, collaboration, and strategies that support high-quality pediatric care in both clinical and community-based settings.
