Dear Valued Patients, Are you on a Thyroid Medication, please read!!
Please contact your pharmacy for a replacement. Your Thyroid medication cannot be stopped suddenly. You need to check with your pharmacy about a replacement from a different manufacturer.

The FDA issued a nationwide Class II recall for subpotent Levothyroxine tablets manufactured by Major Pharmaceuticals.

Dear Valued Patients,
We saw these posters, from our El Paso Department of Health, at a local Fast Food Restaurant, Wendy's, on Yarbrough.
This is so important to have staff aware of hidden food allergies and how to prevent cross contamination.
Have you been to a restaurant and declare your Allergies, you are directed to their website?
It's a great tool but can be super overwhelming if you are scrolling through hundreds of food items on the menu!
One very common misconception we hear is Mayo doesnt have an Allergen.
Mayo has Egg Yolk, Oil, and Seasonings. For someone with Allergies to Eggs, they cannot have Mayo, Salad dressings, sauces that contain Egg Whites or Egg Yolks.
Even Vegan varieties have been processed on Equipment containing Eggs.

Dear Valued Patients,
Have you been newly diagnosed with Food Allergies? How are you doing with reading labels?
We saw this Nut Flour at a local store. Almond Flour is used for baking in many updated recipes. This is One of the latest healthier Alternatives to refined flour.
For someone with Tree Nut Allergies, this flour can trigger an Anaphylactic systemic reaction.
Reading labels is so important in taking care of someone with Food Allergies.
We now have to look for Allergens in processed Foods, Nut and Oak Milks, moisturizing Creams with Almond, Coconut, Shea butter, etc and Shower gels and Shampoos with other additives.
For many, reading labels is imperative to minimize accidental exposure!!

Dear Valued Patients, we are currently on our way to our office. As forecasted by our National Weather Service, we are experiencing Ice Fog.
There is Ice and Black ice on the freeway and visibility is down to a quarter of a mile on the East side after downtown.
Be safe if you are planning to travel!
Our School districts are on a 2 hour delay. Please keep your kids safe!!

Dear Valued Patients,
We went from a very smoky, white air quality to rain and snow as the storm that passed brought rain, snow, and freezing cold temperatures. We have been monitoring the doppler radar with the National Weather Service. The rain helped keep the pollen counts down. The freeze will also keep pollen counts down but the very cold air can be triggering to patients with Asthma.
We will have clinic today.
Our staff will get there as safely as we can!!
