This six-week program offers a gentle introduction to
yoga, specifically tailored for beginners, with each
week building upon the previous one. Participants will
explore essential postures, breathing techniques, and
alignment practices, fostering confidence through a
combination of movement and workshop-style
sessions. The emphasis will be on cultivating awareness
—moving with intention, attuning to one’s body, and
nurturing a sense of calm strength. The objective is not
perfection, but rather understanding—learning to
move purposefully, listen to the body, and develop a
sense of steadiness and ease.
This thoughtfully designed introduction to the art of yoga invites you to embark on a transformative journey. Each 90 minute weekly session provides plenty of time to explore foundational poses, integrate mindful breathing with movement, and focus on technique and cues. Led by Alma, a 500-hour certified instructor, this program emphasizes alignment, mindful movement, and intelligently sequenced classes that cater to all body types, ages, and styles.
This series encourages you to nurture a lasting connection with yoga—rooted in awareness, patience, and curiosity. Whether you are stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning after a long break, this training will empower you to
discover and practice concepts that will support your journey in making yoga a lasting practice, both on and off the mat.
