The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors, El Paso Provides high-quality, accessible, and integrated mental health care for the military community.

Veterans, active duty service members (with a TRICARE referral), and military family members can receive services addressing depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, sleep problems, adolescent behavioral issues, relationship and family stress, etc. individually and together in the same place, at the same time, with the same treatment team. Services are provided by credentialed staff trained to

work specifically with the military population. The Cohen Clinic at Endeavors can also provide case management support and local referrals to help with education, employment, financial assistance, housing, and legal issues.

No one knows Murphy’s law better than a military family… so remember that not all back-to-school moments go smoothly, and that’s okay! Even when things do not go according to plan, remind your child (and yourself!) that this was an experiment, note what you learned, and try something new next time.

For example, if a child was disappointed that they did not have anyone to sit with at lunch, brainstorm what they could try tomorrow, such as inviting another classmate who is sitting alone to join them.

Transitioning out of military service comes with a lot of questions - but you don't have to navigate it alone.

Join our clinic community liaison, Tom Moran, on August 21st for a Lunch & Learn at the Transition Assistance Program at U.S. Army Fort Bliss. This free event is designed for transitioning service members, veterans, and their families to learn about mental health services, wellness programs, and community resources available during and after the transition to civilian life.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:
• Learn about available mental health services
• Explore wellness programs and support options
• Connect with community resources for veterans and military families
• Ask questions in a welcoming, supportive environment
