Carnival fun, smiles, and plenty of sweet moments in Dearborn! 🎪💙🎟️

Our Dearborn Center recently hosted a Sensory-Friendly Carnival, bringing together our kiddos with autism, their families, and our Behavior Frontiers team for a day filled with fun, connection, and activities!

At Behavior Frontiers, we know how meaningful it can be for children with autism to have opportunities to play, explore, socialize, and experience new things in an environment where they feel supported. From carnival games and activities to lots of laughs along the way, this event gave our kiddos a chance to have fun while practicing many of the skills we support through ABA therapy every day. 🎡🎈

Sometimes, the exact snack, toy, cup, or favorite item a child with autism wants simply isn’t available, and that can be a tough moment. For this week’s , we’re sharing a few ways parents can help children with autism navigate these moments while building flexibility, communication, and coping skills along the way.

Rather than simply saying “no,” try acknowledging what your child with autism is asking for, letting them know it isn’t available, and offering a clear alternative. Giving choices can help your child with autism feel more involved while creating opportunities to practice adapting when things don’t go exactly as expected.

These everyday moments may seem small, but with patience, consistency, and support, they can become meaningful opportunities to build skills that extend far beyond the moment. ✨

Meet Melody Saldana, a Senior Behavior Technician at our Rancho Cucamonga Center! 💙☀️

What makes her role so meaningful? For Melody, it’s seeing the progress her kiddos make and knowing those skills can carry into their everyday lives. From building greater independence to strengthening functional communication, watching that growth firsthand is something she says is more rewarding than words can convey. ✨

And learning doesn’t have to feel like work! One of Melody’s favorite parts of being a Senior BT is building strong connections with her kiddos through engaging activities, silly play, and plenty of fun along the way. 🫶

We’re so grateful for the patience, dedication, and positive energy Melody brings to our Rancho Cucamonga team and the kiddos she supports each day! 💛

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Brianna Martinez, a Behavior Technician at our Norwalk Center! 💙✨

For Brianna, being a BT is all about the people and the progress. She loves being part of a supportive team that works together to create the best possible experience for every kiddo who walks through our doors.

But her favorite part? Getting to watch her kiddos grow. 💛 From mastering a new skill they’ve been working toward to seeing them use those skills in their everyday lives, Brianna says being a part of those moments is incredibly rewarding.

We’re so grateful to have Brianna as part of our Norwalk team and for the dedication, teamwork, and care she brings to her kiddos each day! 🌟

This week, we’re featuring Leanne, a Registered Behavior Technician at our Arcadia Center! 💙

For Leanne, one of the most rewarding parts of being an RBT is getting to witness the “little wins” her kiddos achieve each day. ✨ Whether it’s learning a new skill, gaining a little more independence, or reaching a goal they’ve been working toward, she loves being there to celebrate every step of their progress.

As part of our Arcadia team, Leanne works closely with her supervisors and fellow team members to support each child and help make those everyday moments meaningful.
