Abstract season is here, and we want every resident, fellow, and medical student to submit with confidence. Here's the breakdown straight from the instructions:

📝 Standard format: 300 words, structured as Title / Purpose / Method / Results / Conclusions
💡 Tips & Pearls category: different rules apply, just 50 words, free format
🔒 Blind review: include your title in the file, but leave author names out
✅ Must be original work, not previously presented at a national meeting
📤 Submit as many as you'd like, but each presenter can deliver a max of two oral presentations

CSPS members went straight to the Capitol for Legislative Day, meeting with 16 legislators and legislative aides to advocate on your behalf.

The issue on the table: med spa oversight in California, who is operating these facilities and who is supervising them. Right now, patients often can't tell who is actually holding the device or the syringe.

CSPS is pushing for clear protocols and real patient protections, because standards shouldn't be optional when it comes to patient safety.

🚨 Deadline for self-nominations for the CSPS Education and Research Foundation (CSPSERF) 2026–2027 Visiting Professor is today!

This role provides the opportunity to engage with plastic surgery programs across California and participate in regional society meetings throughout the academic year.

Deadline to submit: Today, Monday, May 4, 2026

How to apply:
• Review program guidelines
• Complete the application form (link in bio)
• Submit your CV and a brief summary of the value you would bring to the program
• Email your application packet to Lorraine O’Grady at [email protected]

Program details:
• Visits are typically one day and may include lectures and discussion sessions
• Requests are limited to ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery Training Programs and California regional societies
• Travel is supported by CSPS; host institutions provide accommodations and meals
• Visits will take place from July 2026 through June 2027

The selected Visiting Professor will be contacted in early May. Program applications will open in June, with visits scheduled on a rolling basis.
