It's Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week! 🐾❤️

This week, we're taking a little time to recognize the wonderful veterinary assistants who work so hard behind the scenes at ACVS!

These ladies are an essential part of our team, and we would be absolutely lost without them. From the moment your pets arrive, they're receiving excellent care and plenty of love from these dedicated ladies!

**Today, we're celebrating Christine!** ❤️

Christine is the mom of our group. She is the ultimate team player and the one with the least amount of self control when a kitten or small dog needs a home. To know her is to love her! Thank you for all you do, Christine!

🍔 Food and vendors will be there, so bring the family and come enjoy the day!

Each adoption includes:
🐾 Bordetella vaccine
🐾 Parvo/distemper vaccine
🐾 Microchip
🐾 Treat bag to take home!

🎯 Our goal is to get 15 animals adopted this month, and we need YOUR help to make it happen!

We will also be accepting donations of any kind to help the animals in our care. Every adoption, donation, share, and helping hand makes a difference! 🐕🐈

A raccoon tested positive for rabies in Elbert County last week after interacting with one of our client’s dogs in their fenced backyard.

This is an important reminder that even a fenced yard doesn’t prevent contact with wildlife. It’s easy to underestimate the importance of rabies vaccinations, especially for pets that stay close to home. But rabies is fatal, and infected pets can also expose the people who care for them.

🐾 **WE NEED YOUR HELP — OCTOBER ADOPTION CHALLENGE!** 🐾

Mark your calendars! 📅 **October 17th | 11 AM–3 PM**
📍 **Bobby Brown Park**

We’ll be bringing **as many dogs as we possibly can** to our adoption event, and we are hoping YOU can help us make October our biggest adoption month yet! ❤️

Our goal for October is **15 ADOPTIONS!** 🐶🐱

Our biggest month so far this year has been **10 adoptions**. We want to beat that number and reach 15 because every adoption means **one more kennel opens up for an animal who desperately needs us.**

Right now, we have a **long list of animals waiting to be picked up**—dogs and cats living on the streets, searching for shelter, food, and someone to care about them. 💔

But we are completely out of space.

Every kennel that stays full means another animal in need has nowhere to go. If we cannot create space soon, we may be forced to face **difficult decisions that none of us ever want to make.**

So please—**come see us October 17th. Adopt. Share. Bring a friend. Tell your neighbor.** Even if you aren't able to adopt, sharing this post could help one of these animals find their person. 🐾
