Lanny Joe Willis, 52, resident of Eldorado, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, May 28, 2026. Lanny was born on October 6, 1973, to the late Harmon and Eunice (Sweeney) Willis. He worked as a mechanic for many years and took great pride in what he did. Lanny was someone who enjoyed working with his hands and was always willing to help others whenever they needed him. Lanny had a deep love for the outdoors and the simple things in life. He enjoyed deer hunting, riding UTVs and ATVs, playing pool, and participating in demolition derbies. He loved making memories with family and friends and could often be found sharing laughs and stories with those he cared about most. Above all else, Lanny’s greatest joy in life was his family. He loved them deeply and treasured every moment spent with them. Lanny is survived by his longtime partner, Kara Agin of Eldorado; his son, Kyle Bruce; his daughter, Kelsey Agin (Brayden Johnson); his brother, Leon Willis; his sister, April Willis; as well as an aunt and multiple cousins and nephews who will all miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Eunice (Sweeney) Willis. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado, with Jason Kasiar officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00 AM until the service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado.
