Happy Labor Day! 💪🏼🇺🇸
In Observance, our office is closed today.

✨ Did you know ✨

Labor Day honors the contributions, achievements, and economic well-being of workers.

Industrial Revolution: Formed in the late 19th century when harsh conditions—such as 12-hour workdays and child labor—plagued American laborers.

First Marches: New York City held the first major labor parade on September 5, 1882.

Workers' Rights: It serves as a reminder of the labor movement's fight for fair wages, safe conditions, and the eight-hour workday.

The United States does not celebrate Labor Day in May because the government wanted to avoid associating the national holiday with the radical political groups and violent events of May 1st.

A Safe Date: In 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed legislation to make Labor Day an official federal holiday on the first Monday of September.

Thank you to our staff for working hard, serving our community with caring hearts. ♥️

Many families aren’t sure what a hospice aide does until they need one.

Hospice aides provide hands-on personal care such as bathing, grooming, toileting, changing linens, repositioning, and helping with safe movement. They also watch for changes and report concerns to the hospice nurse.

Their care can help preserve the patient’s comfort and dignity while giving caregivers another layer of support. A hospice aide doesn’t replace the nurse or provide around-the-clock caregiving, and each patient’s visits and tasks are based on their individual plan of care.

If your family has had a hospice aide, what did their help mean to you? đź’™

Today begins CNA week! 🌸
June 11-17
CNA’s ensure that our patients are comfortable at the end of life. They pour their hearts into what they do and it shows. Not only are they present, they educate and provide support when patients and families struggle to adjust to ever changing stages in their disease. To top it off, they also juggle things behind the scenes. They help the nurses with delivering supplies and medications if needed. They often adjust their schedules to meet the needs of patients and the rest of the team, and boy are we grateful!
Thank you to our CNA’s for all that they do 💜
