🚗💚 APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN: DRIVEN TOWARD RECOVERY CAR GIVEAWAY!
Last year, we saw firsthand how one reliable vehicle can change so much for a mother and her children. It can mean getting to work, making it to appointments, getting kids to school, showing up for recovery, and building greater independence.

At this year’s 6th Annual Hot Sauce Hootenanny, Simple Promise Farms hopes to put the keys in the hands of another single mother in recovery who is working hard to rebuild her life. ❤️

🌱 Who Can Apply?
We are looking for a single mother who:
🚗 Has at least 6 months of sobriety, with verification from a sponsor, program director, counselor, or recovery support leader
🚗 Is currently participating in or has completed a treatment, sober living, or recovery program
🚗 Is actively engaged in her recovery and community
🚗 Has a genuine need for reliable transportation
🚗 Has stable housing and the ability to obtain insurance and maintain the vehicle

📝 How to Apply
Send us:
1. Your Story
Tell us about your recovery journey, where you are today, and how having reliable transportation would impact you and your children. You may submit a written story of up to 500 words or a 3–5 minute video.
2. Your Qualifications
Include your length of sobriety, recovery/program involvement, community involvement, transportation needs, and anything else you would like us to know.
3. A Letter of Recommendation
Please include a letter from a sponsor, counselor, program director, or other recovery professional/support person who can speak to your journey.

🍕 Alumni Night is Back This September!
Join us Saturday, September 26th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM for another Ranch House Recovery Alumni Night featuring Kevin Sloan!

Kevin is part of the Ranch House Recovery alumni family, and his life today is a great example of what recovery can grow into - family, creativity, hard work, purpose, and the opportunity to build something meaningful.

Kevin is the founder of , an Austin-based landscape design, construction, and custom fabrication company. With a background in industrial design and craftsmanship, Kevin and The Foundery bring together landscaping, metalwork, construction, and creative design to build unique outdoor spaces. Outside of work, Kevin is a dad and family man who enjoys boxing and motocross with his kids.

We're excited to have him back at the Ranch House to share his experience, strength, and hope and talk about the life he's been able to build in recovery.

Help us help Simple Promise Farms do it again.
Last year at the Hot Sauce Hootenanny, Simple Promise Farms gave a car to a single mother in recovery. Almost a year later, we’ve gotten to see just how much that one gift changed—not just transportation, but opportunity, independence, stability, and life for an entire family.
This year, they want to put the keys in another mom’s hands, and Ranch House Recovery is proud to help spread the word.
They are looking for a car dealership, local business, or individual willing to donate a dependable used vehicle for the car giveaway at the 6th Annual Hot Sauce Hootenanny on November 7th.
It doesn’t have to be new or fancy. A reliable cash car or trade-in that might otherwise go to auction could become a HUGE part of another family’s recovery story. A mechanic is already willing to make sure the vehicle is safe and road-ready—they just need the car.
Our recovery community is at its best when we show up for one another. This is an opportunity to do something tangible that can have an impact long after the Hootenanny is over.

Help Us Put the Keys to a New Life in Her Hands
Last year, we gave a car away at the Hot Sauce Hootenanny.
At the time, it felt like we were giving a single mom in recovery a reliable way to get to work, get her kids where they needed to go, and keep moving forward.

Almost a year later, she sent me this:
“I was sitting here thinking about my life and how good my children have it, and a lot of things wouldn’t be possible without this car and the opportunity it provided.”
That’s when it really hit me.
We didn’t just give away a car. We gave a family opportunity.
We gave a mom one less reason to feel stuck.
A way to get to work.
A way to take care of her kids.
A little more independence.
And another tool to help her keep rebuilding a life in recovery.

This year, at the 6th Annual Hot Sauce Hootenanny, we want to do it again.
So I’m putting out a big ask.
Are there any car dealerships, business owners, or individuals out there who would be willing to donate a used vehicle for this year’s giveaway?
It doesn’t need to be fancy. A dependable cash car or trade-in that might otherwise head to auction could completely change the life of another mother and her children.
We already have a mechanic willing to go through the vehicle, make repairs, and get it safe and road-ready.

We just need someone willing to say, “We want to be part of this.”
Your dealership or business would be recognized as a sponsor of the Hootenanny, but more importantly, you’ll get to watch something you gave become part of someone else’s comeback story.

☀️🌊 Recovery is about learning how to live again.
On Wednesday, we had an incredible time floating the Guadalupe River together, with . What looked like a fun day on the water also turned into an opportunity for growth, reflection, and making some pretty great memories. About two popped tubes and four hours later........

For some of us, activities like floating the river are things we may have done during active addiction. Going back into those spaces can bring up fear, memories, and uncertainty. But getting to experience it again in recovery - surrounded by positive people, genuine connection, and friends who support where we're headed - gives us the opportunity to create an entirely new experience.

We laughed. We floated. We connected. We made new memories with new friends and proved to ourselves that we can still have fun in recovery.

There were also quiet moments to reflect on where we've been, where we are today, and where we want to go next. Sometimes getting outside of our normal routine gives us the space to get a little closer to ourselves.

The sun warmed our bodies, the water refreshed our minds, and the people around us reminded us just how good life can be when we're present for it.

These are the moments we're grateful for - replacing old memories with new ones and discovering that life in recovery isn't about missing out. It's about finally being present enough to experience it.

He's a Ranch House alumnus who recently celebrated 4 years of continuous sobriety, and for years, he poured that recovery back into this community as our Director of Operations, helping other men find their footing and begin building lives of their own.

Today, Jack has taken the next step in his journey and moved into the real estate industry, continuing to build a life rooted in the principles, relationships, and purpose he found in recovery.

That's what Alumni Night is all about - seeing what's possible, staying connected, and coming back to share your experience, strength, and hope with the people walking behind you.

Today, we're celebrating an incredible milestone.

Congratulations to our Executive Director, Cody Cash, on 3 years of continuous sobriety!

Recovery is about more than counting days. It's about showing up, doing the work, and becoming the kind of person others can look to for hope. Cody embodies that every single day.

As a leader, he doesn't just talk about recovery—he lives it. He leads by example with integrity, compassion, and a servant's heart, helping men and their families navigate some of life's most difficult seasons. His willingness to walk alongside others has made a lasting impact on countless lives.

Three years ago, Cody made a decision that changed his life. Today, that decision continues to ripple outward, inspiring hope and reminding others that lasting recovery is possible.
