Real talk.

The world underestimates small business owners every single day. And I think a lot of us have internalized that. We downplay what we do. We add the word "little" before we describe our business. We say "I am just a..." before we tell people what we built.

No more of that.

What you are doing is hard. Running a business while managing a household, raising kids, showing up for your community, that is not a small thing. That is everything.

And here is what I know for sure: the businesses that survive and grow are the ones led by owners who refuse to play small in their own minds first.

Your brand deserves a real strategy. Your services deserve real pricing. Your vision deserves to be taken seriously, by you first, and then everybody else.

If this community has taught me anything, it is that we are out here doing extraordinary things with ordinary resources. And that deserves to be celebrated every single day.

Can we talk about AI tools for a minute?

Because I feel like there is a whole group of us, women entrepreneurs, beauty pros, moms trying to build something, who have been sleeping on these tools because they seem complicated or like they are for somebody else.

They are not for somebody else. They were built for us.

I use AI every single day in my business. For content. For client outreach. For building systems that keep things running even when I am not at my desk. And it has changed the way I work in ways I did not expect.

I am not talking about replacing the human touch. I am talking about protecting your time. Getting more done in less hours. Having the mental space to actually think about your vision instead of being buried in the to-do list.

Newark, I need you to hear this.

We have one of the most resilient, creative, hardworking communities in this country and I am tired of people counting us out.

I grew up watching women in my community stretch a dollar, build a business out of a kitchen, raise their families with one hand and build empires with the other. That is where I learned what hustle really looks like.

Now I am a billboard broker, a certified AI consultant, a beauty coach, and I still rep Newark on everything I do. Because where you come from matters. It shaped your grind. It sharpened your vision. It made you the kind of person who does not quit.
