Support through colic is the number one reason we see new babies in our office (and the number one reason moms tell their mom friends about us
Colic names the symptoms: fussy for hours on end, difficult to settle even when needs are met, uncomfortable. But why do babies tend to be colicky?
The most common pattern we see in our office is that babies with colic tend to have high levels of stress, tension and inflammation in C1 + C2 as well as in their sacrum.
This it's important because these are the main areas of connection to your baby's parasympathetic nervous system. Your baby is physically uncomfortable doing their innate functions of eating, sleeping, and pooping on top of having a nervous system stuck in fight or flight. It makes sense that they'd express for hours on end that they need HELP!
Chiropractic care for infants comes in by addressing these areas of stress, tension and inflammation using gentle adjustments to help clear their little bodies, which helps get them back on track to being happy, thriving babies.
