Was blessed to have coffee with and .collective on Monday. Thankful that these ladies share a heart and passion that goes beyond personal success.
One thing I’ve always believed about the massage industry is that there should be more collaboration and community. Unfortunately, there can sometimes be an underlying mindset of competition and scarcity…. And that’s 💩.
There is more than enough room for all of us to succeed. Massage is incredibly subjective and deeply personal. Two therapists could attend the same school and perform the exact same techniques, yet the experience would still be completely different. Each therapist brings their own energy, intuition, heart, and presence into their work, and that matters just as much as the technique itself.
With Courtney’s help, I’ve created a Facebook group for local Licensed Massage Therapists to connect, support one another, and openly discuss the realities of this field… the wins, the struggles, what’s been working, what hasn’t, business tips, questions, continuing education, and more.
One of my biggest goals for this group is to build a resource database of local therapists and their specialties/training. That way, if a client is looking for something specific like MLD, prenatal massage, couples massage, or another specialty, we can confidently refer them to the right person.
I also want this to be a safe space where service providers can support and protect one another by sharing concerns about potentially unsafe interactions or experiences.
If you’re a Licensed Massage Therapist and this sounds like something you’d love to be part of, we’d be so happy to have you join us. Genuine connection, authenticity, support, and community are the heart of this group.
We’re not here to compete. We’re here to help everyone grow together. 🤍
DM me for the invite. I can’t wait to connect!
