✨ Celebrating an incredible legacy at ECH ✨

After 37 years of dedication, compassion and leadership, Suzanne Denton is beginning a well-earned new chapter - and what a legacy she leaves behind. ❤️

From helping introduce new technology to mentoring teammates across departments, Denton’s impact can be felt in every corner of our hospital. But what truly set her apart was her belief in people.

💬 “None of our successes happen alone. It’s all about who we have around us and how we treat each other.”

That spirit of teamwork guided everything she did - lifting up her colleagues, supporting growth and always taking time to teach.

💬 “If we’re not willing to help people learn, then the growth of our coworkers and our community just doesn’t happen.”

Denton’s gratitude and love for this place shine through in her words:

💬 “I’m super thankful for this place, this building, and the people in it.”

And we’re just as thankful for her. 💙

While she may be stepping away from her role, Denton’s influence will continue to shape our team for years to come. Please join us in wishing her all the best as she spends time with family and enjoys this exciting next chapter! 🌟

👏 Thank you, Suzanne, for everything - you will always be part of the ECH family.

Breast reconstruction doesn’t always feel complete when surgery is over. For many patients, the absence of the nipple-areola complex is a lasting reminder of what they’ve been through.

At University of Vermont Health, 3D nipple-areola tattooing offers a way to restore both appearance and confidence—often as one of the final steps in recovery.

Performed in a clinical setting, this specialized procedure is tailored to each patient’s body, helping create a natural, realistic result.

“Patients tell me they just want to feel ‘normal’ again,” says Jenn Ashline, PA-C.

Some of our neighbors are making impossible choices every day – like whether to buy groceries or pay for heat, gas or medicine. No one should have to choose between eating and getting the care they need. ❤️

That’s why support like this means so much.

We are incredibly grateful to Stewart's Shops Holiday Match for their generous $1,400 donation to our Crown Point Health Center food pantry! 🎉

This special program – powered by customer giving and matched by Stewart’s Shops – helps make sure local families have food on the table.

Right here in our community, the need continues to grow:
🥕 277 families (630 individuals) relied on our pantry in 2025
📈 17.9% increase in families served
📦 Over 9,200 pounds of food distributed in 2025

Behind every number is a neighbor – families, children and seniors – who need a little extra support.

As we mark a century of caring, gifts like this remind us that caring has always been, and will always be, a community effort. 💚

This donation helps us keep shelves stocked, expand access and make sure no one goes without. Thank you, Stewart’s Shops and your generous customers, for helping us care for our community – today and for the next 100 years. 🙌

“There’s something special about this place.” 💙

Please join us in welcoming Thomas Dwyer as the newest member of our Board of Trustees!

Dwyer brings a unique perspective to our board. As a longtime EMT 🚑, he has seen the impact of our care up close—helping patients in moments that matter most. He also brings decades of leadership experience from his work in global business.

“People choose this hospital because of the care and the personal connection you get from the people who work here,” Dwyer says. “I’ve seen that firsthand, and I’m proud to be part of helping make sure this hospital is here for generations to come.”

“Tom’s perspective is especially meaningful because he has experienced our care from the front lines," adds Bob Ortmyer, our hospital president. "His leadership experience, combined with his commitment to this region, will support our work to provide high-quality, patient-centered care close to home.”

Dwyer lives in Willsboro and cares deeply about keeping strong, local health care in the North Country.

We’re excited to have him on the team!

👏 Join us in giving Tom a warm welcome!

GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Wegovy are no longer new—and the conversation around them has changed.

There are new options, including a pill. At the same time, insurance coverage has changed, making it harder for some patients to access these medications.

While they can be effective, they’re not a quick fix.

“This is a magic pill, and you also have to do the work.”
