was a swimming success!!! 🦈

This Happy Hour made quite the splash with live music from The Evening Star Band, a jaws-dropping inflatable shark (along with plenty of other fintastic aquatic décor), and a sea-riously delicious menu featuring bacon-wrapped glazed shrimp, shrimp rolls, and salmon cakes. Thank you to everyone who dropped anchor and joined us for such a wave-making afternoon: we’re already tide with excitement to see you again next Friday for our Pride Month Happy Hour!!! ⚓️

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

At Bruceville Point, we spent the day reflecting with gratitude while celebrating together with a community BBQ filled with great food, laughter, and fellowship. We are forever thankful for the courage, service, and dedication of our fallen heroes who fought to protect our freedoms. ❤️🤍💙

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we remember those who gave everything for our nation.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful outing at Lake Natoma alongside our sister property, Prairie City Landing!! ☀️ Residents took in the beautiful lakeside views while sharing a classic camp-themed summer picnic of fresh-cut watermelon and grilled favorites, including hot dogs & burgers topped with cheese. The day was filled with laughter and friendly competition especially during the water shooter games that brought plenty of run and excitement. Fortunately, the warm sun made quick work of any splashes, leaving everyone refreshed, dry, and smiling by the end of a memorable day outdoors!!! 😎

Each Saturday, Monica, our Events & Adventures (E&A) Assistant, hosts a Writing Workshop where residents explore a variety of creative prompts. This week’s prompt invited participants to imagine what might happen if strangers were stuck in an elevator together during a power outage.

The pieces below are written by our residents and are inspired by real hopes, memories, and perspectives. One especially touching story is based on a true encounter between two strangers who, in the end, were not strangers at all.

A huge thank you to Keller Williams Elk Grove
for organizing such a wonderful Senior Fun Day at the District 56 Elk Grove Senior Center! There was perfectly seasoned cheeseburgers & grilled hot dogs fresh off the BBQ, chair exercises with beach balls, crocheting, bingo, laughter, and community!! The day was filled with joy from beginning to end!! The highlight though had to be the flower bar where you could pick roses & greenery to take home a bouquet. It truly lived up to its name and was a fabulous day full of sun, fun, connection, and smiles all around. 🌞🌼💐

Today we celebrate all the incredible mothers who have filled our lives with love, strength, and wisdom. We were honored to celebrate with our residents, enjoying delicious food, heartfelt smiles, and so much love.

Harbor was in full bloom this morning!!! 🌸 There were lots of helping hands preparing for Mother’s Day this Sunday, so if you spot flowers around the building (and it won’t be difficult to do so), just know that the arrangements were all lovingly created by residents!!! 💐

A table meant for sharing holds more than food alone. It carries stories, laughter, wandering hands reaching for one more dumpling, and the quiet (and loud) comfort of togetherness. At Journey to the Dumpling in Elk Grove, every plate passed around the table became a small reminder that the best meals are the ones shared. 🥟🤲🏼
