Our Sister Circle is an 8-week virtual group created as a safe, affirming space for Black women (18+) to show up fully, share openly, and be supported.

Together, we’ll focus on growth, healing, and showing up for ourselves with the support of a strong, connected sisterhood.

A couple of weeks ago, our incredible clinicians Cessiley and Cheng proudly represented Restored Wellness Counseling at the Youth Mental Health Summit hosted by the Coalition to Empower Our Future in downtown Sacramento. From powerful conversations with community leaders to hearing directly from young voices, it was an inspiring reminder of how important this work truly is.

Meet Candace Thor, LCSW!

Candace works with teens and adults as they navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, school stress, life transitions, and skill development.

Her approach to therapy is rooted in a person-centered, strengths-based philosophy, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Restored Wellness Counseling is thrilled to announce we are opening a third location in the Sacramento area! Our new office is right off of Highway 50 and Sunrise in Gold River. We are expected to open in the next few weeks! Please call, email, or text to be added to our interest list.

We are also welcoming new clients at both our Elk Grove and Roseville offices, as well as telehealth clients from anywhere in California.

We take several types of insurance!

Benton works with adults and couples. She works with clients who are struggling with grief, trauma, depression, and anxiety. She has extensive experience working with survivors of domestic violence and elder abuse and has a specialized certificate in trauma.

She is also trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 which helps reduce conflict, improve communication, and increase intimacy, respect and affection.
