Congratulations, Heather!

We’re so excited to celebrate Heather on her new role as the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and Infection Preventionist.

Heather started with us this year on our TCU and has already shown what an asset she is to our team. With her years of nursing experience, educational background, and dedication to resident care, she brings a great amount of knowledge and passion to this new role.

This morning, members of our Guardian Angels team came together to participate in the Thumbs Up 5K — with someone very special on our hearts.
We walked and ran in memory of a beloved coworker and friend who left us far too soon. Today was about remembering the difference one person can make, supporting one another and helping bring awareness to mental health and su***de prevention.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to come together as a team, honor a life that touched so many and support the important work of Thumbs Up!
Today, every step had a little more meaning.

Congratulations to Cecilia as she takes the next step in her nursing journey by pursuing her RN degree! She has been awarded the Adrienne Ellingson Memorial Scholarship, created in honor of Adrienne’s years of dedicated service as Director of Nursing at Guardian Angels Care Center (1988–2001).

Adrienne was deeply committed to supporting those who aspired to grow in the nursing profession and her legacy continues through caregivers like Cecilia. Her dedication lives on through this scholarship and through those who continue to grow, lead and serve.

Join us in congratulating Cecilia on this achievement and wishing her success as she advances her nursing career!

🎉 Mission Week is here! 🎉

We’re kicking off our 3rd Annual Guardian Angels Employee Mission Week—a week dedicated to celebrating our amazing team, the individual impact each person makes and what we can accomplish together as a team! 💙

We kicked things off Sunday with Whisk & Wellbeing Jr.’s, where our team’s kiddos took over the kitchen to bake thumbprint cookies! 🍪 The cookies will be available at our Artisan Fair, with proceeds benefiting Thumbs Up and mental health support.

🎨 Join us Tuesday from 3–6 p.m. for the Employee Artisan Fair (Price Homes Parking lot)! Bring the family for artisan shopping, a Kids Zone, ice cream truck, live music and more. You won’t want to miss it!

And that’s just the beginning! We’ve got a full week of fun, appreciation and celebrating the people who make Guardian Angels special.

We’re proud to see the story of Global Care Recruiters featured by The Global Ageing Network!

What started as an idea to address one of senior care’s greatest challenges—the ongoing workforce shortage—has grown into an innovative partnership creating opportunities for internationally educated nurses while helping strengthen the senior care workforce here in Minnesota.

Guardian Angels President & CEO Traci Larson, along with leaders from Mount Olivet, Prairie Senior Cottages and Vista Prairie Communities helped launch Global Care Recruiters with a shared vision: create a thoughtful, ethical and sustainable approach to global recruitment.

Today, more than 60 registered nurses are in the pipeline to come to the U.S. from Kenya, with even more candidates moving through the process. We’re excited about what’s ahead and proud to be part of a collaboration working toward long-term solutions for senior care.
