To give some context - Buddha was confronted with an angry man upset with various teachers and salespersons coming to his village with something to sell or teach.

Overwhelmed and cynical, the man directed a barrage of insults and recriminations at the Buddha.

Remaining calm, the Buddha asked him a single question:

"If you buy a gift for someone and they decline to accept it, to whom does the gift belong?"

What's your answer?

In this instance who owns the gift of anger? Is it Buddha or is it the man?
