I’ve been calling them “sandpaper thoughts.” Those wants and feelings that rub against each other because more than one thing matters to me.

I can care about something and still question how much room I want it to take up in my life. I can want to show up for others and want time and space for myself, too.

I’m still figuring out how to let both be true without wearing myself down trying to find the perfect answer.

So I make art. Give my hands something to do. Give myself a little room to listen.

What a beautiful fall afternoon of painting, laughter, and creativity! 🍂🎨🌻

Today I had the pleasure of welcoming these lovely ladies into my studio for Pumpkins & Petals, and just look at their amazing creations!

One of my favorite things about teaching painting is watching everyone start with the same idea and create something completely their own. Different colors, different styles, and so much personality in every canvas!

The sunshine, gorgeous fall colors, and wonderful company made today extra special. ❤️

Sometimes the best thing you can do is step away from the computer, grab your paints, and head outside. 🎨🍂

What an absolutely GLORIOUS October day in Minnesota!

I spent the afternoon working on backgrounds for some new paintings in my Nature Heals collection. The trees apparently wanted to collaborate, because I spent a good portion of my time rescuing wet paint from falling leaves. 😂🍁

But sunshine, fresh air, paint-covered hands, and completely losing track of time? I'll take that any day!

Today was a beautiful reminder of why I love creating in the first place.

Nature really does heal. ❤️

What a weekend! 🎨🍂❤️

My first Rivertown Fall Art Festival is officially in the books, and I'm still processing just how incredible this experience was!

I went into this weekend hoping my art would connect with people. I left with so much more than I could have imagined.

A few things I learned:

🌬️ Mother Nature will absolutely test your booth setup.

😂 Apparently, fish with attitude are VERY popular! My Slightly series was the unexpected star of the weekend!

🎨 There is so much to learn about the art fair world, and nothing teaches you faster than jumping right in.

❤️ And most importantly, putting yourself and your art out into the world can be incredibly rewarding.

The conversations, laughter, encouragement, and genuine connections meant more to me than I can put into words.

To everyone who stopped by, purchased a piece of my art, shared a kind word, or simply took a moment to appreciate something I created, THANK YOU!

You reminded me that art isn't just about what we create. It's about the connections we make through it.

I'm leaving this weekend feeling inspired, grateful, and already dreaming about what comes next!

And to my fellow artists and vendors, thank you for sharing your knowledge and making this first experience so memorable.

Here's to more art, more adventures, and significantly stronger booth anchors! 😂

My first official art festival did not disappoint! I loved meeting tons of people, hearing how much they loved the colors in my art, and of course my first official sale of an original to the sweetest couple from up north!

I'm beyond grateful for my friend, JennieRuth, who helped with anything, from wrapping packages to holding up walls when the wind gusts were insane. Also loved that my cousin stopped by to support me and of course had to hold some walls too 😂

Tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful and sunny! If you have time to swing out, I'd love to see you! My booth # is 129.

Woo hoo ... the weekend is here. Set up the tent tonight (thankful for my husband and son for the help) and I will brin...

Some seasons don't leave us unchanged.

They stretch us. Challenge us. Ask more of us than we ever thought we could give.
