Dr. Angela Lucterhand 🩺Blending Holistic+Medical+Lifestyle to Help You Get Your Life Back 🌱 I am a doctor, professor, and a fan of loving life.

I fell into alternative medicine while trying to find my place in the healthcare system. After turning down medical school, joining the Peace Corps as a health educator, and realizing that I wanted to take a holistic approach, I attained my doctorate in chiropractic. Aside from family, friends, and my career, there are tons of things that I love doing which require me to be healthy. I have taken o

n the task of trying to educate as many people as possible of things they can do to KEEP themselves healthy. I preach whole foods, exercise, relaxation, and having fun; that’s life folks! I eat fairly strict Paleo and use Crossfit for my fitness fun. While at the office, I am working hard to get people off of their medications through nutrition, rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries, and tuning up everybody’s nervous system through adjustments. There is nothing better than having an impact on a patient’s health because it has an effect on EVERY SINGLE person around them. Happy, healthy people are great to be around, and I pride myself on creating more!

Everyone has their ā€œthingā€ and my life right now is a good glass of quality wine with my husband while our toddler is with us. We don’t get many opportunities to be alone without him. I’m also 43, and if I’m not careful, it can wreck my sleep. I understand it’s not considered a healthy habit…but neither is IG, so we’re all choosing our battles, folks and this just happens to be the one thing I want to enjoy in this season. Isn’t the right choice for everyone and that’s ok. šŸ’“

I wanna know what your ā€œone thingā€ is in this season of your life!

If you are in the same boat of wanting to prevent Alzheimer’s and/or dementia, have a family history, but DON’T necessarily want to know your genetic profile…can you tell me why?

Thanks so much, my people! I will help you and if this topic is of most interest to you…

Comment ā€œBrainā€ and I’ll add you to those conversations in the newsletter emails.

Sometimes I’m working really hard on content that ultimately gets you off of social media and into my newsletter where we can learn more, but then it makes me hate all the opt in ā€œcomment thisā€ stuff. I think people still come here to learn and while I’ll still have to play that game of ā€œcomment thisā€ (thanks IG), I also want to make sure I’m simply sharing useful stuff you should know without a paywall or 500 steps. That’s what IG used to be. We learned so much! Today, it seems to have swung in the other direction. I will try my best to find balance.

Happy learning!

It’s not that red cars don’t exist, they do. It’s just that there was never a way to multiply them for a singular reality before in the history of our lifetime.
I said what I said and now I need to go to the gym where my confirmation bias is that people are willing to take action, older people want to keep moving, midlife woman are superhuman, real bodies exist, and humans do indeed still like to run into each other or exchange a smile.

I don’t know how to cover complex topics in 30 seconds. I do, however, know how to deliver the meat and potatoes quickly BUT, I’ve been doing this IG thing so long that I anticipate all the arguments of ā€œwell this is the factor you missedā€ when I didn’t miss it at all…just didn’t have time to mention every aspect that didn’t matter in those 30 seconds because they were normal! So, I have kinda given up on here in terms of trying to explain things but here is a 5 min video where I cut out quite a bit of the dialogue so you can at least learn something if it’s interesting to you. 🤪

If you want to run your own labs and have an entire report laying out interpretation and action plan, here’s a link to do so: https://us.fullscript.com/j/dr-angela-lucterhand

That’s all we really wanna know anyway and the reason videos are hard is because trying to extrapolate every possibility within the convo isn’t possible within 30 seconds…

With love and common sense,
Dr. Angela

Welcome to another episode of ā€œI teach physiology all the time and sometimes you need to hear it from more than one personā€ā€¦

And yes, I am aware there are genetic components for risk. And you can’t change that. Focus on what you CAN do makes things more manageable.

I’m not a newbie to the game and knowledge is abundant (I will admit sometimes now that can add confusion with so much conflicting advice)…but every person I work with that has an ex*****on issue has an environmental friction between the easiest choice and the choice they know is better for their desired goal. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø
