Have you been told your knees are “bone on bone” and you need surgery?
That X-ray might be telling you what your knee looks like…
But it doesn’t necessarily tell us what your knee is still capable of 💪💪
Knee osteoarthritis is common, and imaging findings don’t always match how much pain or limitation someone experiences. 🤫
Before assuming surgery is your only option, there’s another question worth asking:
What happens when we actually make the knee stronger? 🤷♂️
Progressive strength training can help improve pain, function, and confidence — even when arthritis is present.
That means gradually building your ability to squat, step, lunge, walk, climb stairs, and tolerate load again.🤔
Will exercise magically make arthritis disappear? No.
Can a stronger, more capable knee potentially feel and function significantly better?
Absolutely.
Surgery has its place. 👍👍👍
But “bone on bone” doesn’t automatically mean your knee is done.
