Chief Medical Officer (CMO) serves as an integral member of the executive team and is the key physician executive who drives clinical excellence, care delivery, and fosters collaboration among the distinct medical staffs and physician communities—including both employed and private practice physicians—across the regional hospitals.
A physician leader responsible for planning and structuring medical staff services to best align with the organization and community needs, while respecting the autonomy and governance of each hospital’s medical staff.
This position is responsible for developing credible relationships with independent and employed physicians as well as advanced practice providers by providing medical and clinical leadership.
What makes you the right fit for our team:
· An MD or DO with the ability to obtain a WV license, with a master’s degree preferred in healthcare administration, business or related area
· Board certification
· 10+years active clinical experience
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
· Demonstrated record and in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements with successful management of quality, safety, and performance improvement programs.
· A strong record of enhancing physician engagement within a system and bringing together diverse groups aligned toward a common goal and culture.
