Fifteen years ago I joined the American Massage Therapy Association. A little over a year later, I started my own massage practice, with a baby at home and another on the way. Over time I got involved with the state chapter and eventually became President of the Delaware Chapter. I haven’t always agreed with the National leadership but I have met some wonderful people and my AMTA membership has helped keep me insured and educated throughout my business ownership. I am grateful for this organization, which has supported massage therapists and massage therapy research for over 80 years.
