Interested in serving your community? Kittitas County Public Hospital District No. 2 is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy for Position 3 on the Board of Commissioners.

On June 15, 2026, the Board of Commissioners for Kittitas County Public Hospital District No. 2 nominated Jarman Smith III, Chris Pauley, and Rickie McIntyre to fill the vacancy of Position 3 at their regularly scheduled Board meeting.

KCPHD #2 provides ambulance services to Upper Kittitas County through Upper Kittitas County Medic One and supports care at KVH Urgent Care - Cle Elum.

To apply: Submit a letter of interest by July 10, 2026 describing your background, experience, and what you would bring to the Board.
Eligibility: Applicants must be registered voters residing in Hospital District No. 2.
Next steps: Interviews will be held July 20, 2026, and the selected applicant will be sworn in at the August 17, 2026 Board meeting.

Registration is now open for FISH’s Picnic in the Park!

Children and teens ages 1–18 can receive free weekly meal boxes at locations throughout Kittitas County.

This year, Picnic in the Park is moving to a meal box format at all locations. Each weekly box includes 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches per child, helping families access meals more flexibly throughout the week.

Preregistration is strongly encouraged and families who preregister will be guaranteed meal boxes.
