A huge THANK YOU to Donna and Wanda of Brightview Senior Living, along with their entire Culinary Services team, for sponsoring last night's Memory Café and providing such a delicious Italian feast! Your team always goes above and beyond, and we really appreciate your generosity and support.

Last night's Memory Café was both special and bittersweet as we celebrated Kathy Insley Wehr as her well-deserved retirement tour rolled on. Over the years, Kathy has become the face of caregiver support throughout Howard County and has grown to be not only one of our favorite people, but also one of the community's most trusted resources. The attendance and energy last night made it abundantly clear just how many lives Kathy has touched.

We also celebrated our 15th anniversary hosting the Memory Café in Howard County. Over the past 15 years, we've been honored to host nearly 180 monthly meetings, and it was a true pleasure to celebrate this milestone alongside Kathy. We can't wait to see this wonderful group continue to grow for many years to come.

Memory Café offers a warm and supportive space for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias, along with the family caregivers who support them.
If you are caring for a loved one with a memory-related impairment, we invite you to join us. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month.

A special thank you to the Howard County Office on Aging for their continued commitment to our community and for helping bring people together through their support and partnership.

Beginning August 19th, we will be launching a second monthly Memory Café at the Glenwood 50+ Center on the third Wednesday of every month from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. We can't wait to welcome even more care partners and their loved ones to this incredible community of support and connection.

THANK YOU KATHY! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Thank you so much to Kate Hernandez and Jennifer Rogofsky of Therapy In Motion, LLC, and Dorinda Malcolm of Renew Speech Language Pathology, for sponsoring last week's Memory Café. They are both tremendous community partners and provide outstanding services!

Attendees also had the opportunity to hear from Dr. Esther Oh, MD, PhD of Johns Hopkins Medicine, who leads important research on the connection between hearing loss, dementia, and memory care. Her work explores how treating hearing loss can reduce neuropsychiatric symptoms, ease caregiver stress, and improve cognitive health in individuals living with Alzheimer's disease.

Memory Café offers a warm and supportive space for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias, along with the family caregivers who support them.

A special thank you to Kathy, Regina, and Kami from the Howard County Office on Aging for their continued commitment to our community and for helping bring people together through their support and partnership.
