Healthy Acadia is a 501(C)(3) community health organization building vibrant communities and making it easier for all people to lead healthy lives throughout Washington and Hancock counties and across Maine. The scope of our work encompasses six broad areas of focus:

>> Strong Beginnings to support healthy development and resilience from birth to adulthood;

>> Healthy Food for All: ensuring that

all people have access to nutritious, affordable food, and to make the healthy choice the easy choice;

>> Active and Healthy Environments: ensuring that our indoor and outdoor spaces are safe, healthy, and promote physical activity and wellness;

>> Healthy Aging: ensuring that all of us can age well — with strength, dignity, comfort, and grace;

>> Substance Prevention and Recovery: supporting people of all ages to live lives free of substance misuse and substance use disorder, and to support individuals throughout their recovery journey; and

>> Health Promotion & Management: improving community supports across a wide range of health needs, from cancer patient navigation and stress reduction to barrier removal for health challenges and chronic disease and pain self-management. 📢 We're Hiring: Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

Healthy Acadia's Maine Alliance for Recovery Coaching (Maine-ARC) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to help support recovery coaching efforts across Hancock and Washington counties.

This 20-hour-per-week position plays an important role in coordinating trainings, supporting program operations, assisting with communications and data systems, and helping ensure the success of recovery coaching services throughout Downeast Maine.

We're looking for someone who:
• Is organized and dependable
• Communicates effectively
• Is comfortable using email, Google Drive, and computer-based systems
• Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team
• Values recovery, community, and helping others thrive

Candidates with lived experience in recovery or meaningful personal experience with the recovery process are strongly encouraged to apply.

Join Our Team as a Youth Recovery Coach!

Healthy Acadia's Maine Alliance for Recovery Coaching (Maine-ARC) is hiring one full-time and one part-time Youth Recovery Coach to support young people ages 14-21 across Hancock and Washington counties.

We're looking for compassionate, motivated individuals ages 18-26 who are in long-term recovery or are recovery allies and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth impacted by substance use disorder.

As a Youth Recovery Coach, you'll provide mentorship, encouragement, resource navigation, and recovery support while helping young people build healthier futures.
