Samuel Teolis was born September 25, 1925 in Princeton, Pa. A World War II veteran, Samuel Teolis graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1950. He worked for vario

us funeral homes until 1955 when he decided to start his own business. The first family served by Mr. Teolis was in December of 1955. Teolis, also had worked for many years as a barber in the Ellwood city area. Through the years the funeral home has undergone many changes structurally. Each expansion made to the building have been made to better serve our families. We now have over 3000 square feet of space, which include four reposing rooms, two handicapped accessible ramps and restroom, a street level office and casket selection room. In 1991 Mr. Teolis was joined in business by his son, Samuel A. Teolis, born in May 1968, a graduate of Lincoln High School 1986, the University of Pittsburgh in 1990, and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1991. Teolis also has held a position as Lawrence County Dep. Coroner since 1992. Samuel Teolis now serves as the supervisor of the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home Inc. and his son serves as the Funeral Director. Both are committed to serving the community of Ellwood City and the surrounding areas with the utmost dignity and respect. Also, both men are very community oriented by actively belonging to several civic organizations each. And, both are Notary Publics to help better serve our clients in their time of need.

Rafaelle J. (Ralph) DiBello, age 88, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 1st, 2026.

Born on November 6th, 1937 in Castelforte, Latina, Italy he was the son of the late Gennaro and Olinda DiBello.

As a young man at the age of 23 and trained as a mechanic in Rome, he immigrated to the United States in 1960. After a few years, he purchased the property at 735 Lawrence Ave and became the owner of Ralph’s Super Service. Over the years, the gas station and minor repair shop became a staple on the main street of Ellwood City. There were many different oil company brands and signs that bannered the corner, including Quaker State, Sunoco and Texaco. Desiring to be independent, the station become known as Solo DiBello. During his nearly 50 years on the corner of Lawrence Avenue, the Solo DiBello sign has become one of the most recognizable signs in Ellwood City.

He enjoyed interacting with his customers, was always willing to fix a car problem and enjoyed giving kids a can of pop. He allowed his customers to run a gas tab each month and for those that paid in cash, he would always ask if he could ” keepa da change”.

Ralph enjoyed landscaping and could always be found on a Saturday or Sunday listening to Italian music and tinkering in his yard adding just one more statue, rock or more sea shells.

For many years, he was an avid wine maker and he enjoyed sharing his wine with many of his customers during the holidays. His homemade wine also won many awards at the annual Wolves Club competitions.

Ralph was one of 3 children. His oldest sister Elisa DiBello Cappelli (Luigi) preceded him in death in 2024 and his sister lda DiBello Mallozzi (Domenico) age, 86, currently resides in Rome.

Ralph was married to Antoinette DiBello. They were married in May 1960. She preceded him in death in May 2020.

He is survived by his 3 sons, Gennaro (Joni) of Presto PA, Joey of Marietta OH, and Mario (Shellie ) Center Township.

Ralph was very proud of his four grandchildren, Vanessa DiPietro (Nick), Elesa Ross (Kurt), Luc DiBello and Anthony DiBello.

Affably known as “Pup”, he also had one great-granddaughter, Rosina DiPietro who made him smile regularly and added a beautiful dimension with 4 generations of family together “a tavola”.

He is also survived by his companion and friend, Sondra Annarumo.

Our Family is so very grateful for the care, love and support provided by Eileen McKelvey for the 14 months and most recently Concordia of Bridgeville.

Pup – thanks for taking the risk to cross the ocean and start a new life! Quite a journey–may you rest in peace !!

Mrs. Priscilla “Patty” Jean Gibbons, 90, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30th, 2026 at her residence.

Mrs. Gibbons was born in Ellwood City on February 26th, 1936 to the late Peter and Bessie (Onada) Boy. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1954 and later graduated from the Felix Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. Patty started her career working at her mothers beauty shop, Bessie Boy’s Beauty Salon, as a beautician, then she worked for Dr. Joseph Painter in Ellwood City as a secretary, followed by working at St. Francis Hospital and then at the Avalon Nursing Home both in New Castle as a administrative Secretary in the skilled nursing unit. She is a long time member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Patty was a coach of her daughters slow-pitch softball team “McElwains”. She enjoyed having card club with her sister, cousins, and friends. Patty mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and 3 granddaughters.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Gibbons whom she married on May 12th, 1962, daughters Laura (Jeff) Ketterer of Ellwood City, Dana Gibbons and Leigh Ann Gibbons (Raumar Hernandez) both of Miami, Florida, grandchildren Morganne (Tyler) Miller, Karington Ketterer, and Isabella Hernandez, and great-granddaughter Scottie Jean Miller, Patty’s name sake. She is also survived by her sister Mary Ann Portugallo, and her brother Pete Boy both of Ellwood City, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Gracie.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law Nathan Portugallo.

A Celebration of Patty’s life will be held at a later date. The cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. Inurnment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

Stavros G. Thomas, 75, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026.

Stavros was born in McKeesport on November 4th, 1950 to the late Stavros George Thomas and Christina (Papoulis) Thomas. He attended Geneva College where he met his wife of 55 years, Nancy (Miller) Thomas who survives.

Stavros worked at Aetna Standard until it closed. He then became a math teacher and was employed by New Castle School District until his retirement in 2013. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of JW.org for many years.

Stavros’ favorite pastime was all things to do with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He enjoyed traveling to watch the Pirates play at many ballparks around the country including traveling to spring training each year. He also enjoyed working on house projects and feeding and watching the birds and other local wildlife at his home.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his daughter Christine Muzzana (Mark) of Chippewa Township, son Joel Thomas (Cindy) of Chewton and his grandchildren Ayden, Paige, Ena, Tessa, Avah and Violet. He is also survived by his sister Sylvia Kruth (Bernie) of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, his in-laws George and Edna Miller and an infant son.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 1st, 2026 from 1:00 pm – 4:00pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..

Kevin J. Imhoff, 60, of Ellport passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25th, 2026 at the UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA.

Kevin was born in Brentwood on August 7th, 1965 to the late Francis and Janet (Batting) Imhoff. He is a member of the Brentwood High School class of 1984. He enlisted with the United States Air Force on January 24th, 1985 and served as a Aerospace Maintenance Craftsman until his honorable discharge on June 30th, 1995. Kevin was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award, Air Force Training Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Professional Military Education Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, and served in the Desert Storm Theater from October 2nd, 1990 until March 8th, 1991. Following his service Kevin worked for the United States Postal Service in New Castle as a mail handler.

He is a member of Divine Grace Parish Holy Redeemer Church, Special Activities Group, and the Ellwood City Saxons Club where he had served as a trustee. Kevin enjoyed fishing, working on cars, camping, casino’s, and traveling.
He is survived by his beloved wife Rose (McIntyre) Imhoff whom he married on November 20th, 2007, daughters Kim (Tony) Lollo of Hermitage, Kellie (David) Buttersworth of Butler, and Holliann Smiley of Ellwood City, sons Shawn Imhoff of Ellport, Justin Imhoff of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Kamron Rudy and his companion Stephanie De-John of Ellwood City, grandchildren Aaron, Christopher, Kylee, Kayla, Tyler, Kianna, Hailie, AJ, Lexi, Demi, and Nico. He is also survived by his sisters, Christine (Mark) Shaffer, Jennifer (Kevin) Sherrieb, brothers Brian (Laura) Imhoff, Keith (Mary) Imhoff all of Saxonburg, several nieces and nephews, and his cherished service dog Ziggy.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Michael Sherrieb.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30th, 2026 from 3:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 6:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Deacon Frank Bursic officiating. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the funeral home on Thursday by 5:50 pm to render military rites. Entombment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

Mr. James E. Biego, 86, of Beaver Falls passed away on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026 at the Heritage Valley Medical Center.

Mr. Biego was born on October 11th, 1939 to the late Joseph and Leila (Ruby) Biego in Ellwood City. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1957. He then enlisted with the United States Army on March 10th, 1958 and served until his honorable discharge on December 13th, 1960 earning the rank of SP4. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. After his service with the Army Jim worked at Mathews Conveyor later know as Rexnord, Townsend Industries, and the US Army Corp of Engineers as a certified machinist. He was the proud owner of several horses that he had raced at The Meadows Casino and Mountaineer Casino Resort.

He is survived by his brothers, Raymond Biego and Michael (Vivian) Biego both of Ellwood City.

Preceding Jim in death where his parents, sisters Frances Kramer and Barbara Parks, and his nephew Bill Biego.

Mr. Joseph E. Streit, Jr., 87, of North Sewickley Township passed away on Monday, July 20th, 2026 at the Heritage Valley Medical Center in Beaver.

Mr. Streit was born in Ellwood City to the late Joseph E. and Cora Belle (McKinney) Streit, Sr. on May 31st, 1939. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1957. Joe worked at the JC Murphy Co. in Ellwood City for 3 years, then at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill for 4 years, after which at the Ellwood City Forge for 39 years and 10 months as a machine operator retiring on February 28th, 2002.

Joe is a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church where he was a longtime volunteer at the church’s Annual Bazaar where he could be found in the outside kitchen, along side his wife Sally, cooking fish and pepperoni puffs. He and his wife also served as a campground host at the Tionesta Lake Outflow Campground and at Chapman State Park.

An outdoorsman, Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, and held membership with the NRA, Marian Hill Sportsman Club, Castlewood Rod & Gun Club, and Chippewa Rifle Club.

He is survived by his daughter Jodi Lynn Powell of Ellwood City, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Paula Streit of Ellwood City, 2 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, sisters Sally Ann (Raymond) Rosepink of Freedom and Mary Catherine (William) Jones of New Castle, and his companion Nancy Piecuch.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sally J. (Stanford) Streit whom he married on June 28th, 1958 and passed away on March 8th, 2019.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Friday from 11-11:30 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will follow at Noon at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Entombment then will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Resurrection Mausoleum.

Ratka “Dadi” Radevski passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on July 13, 2026. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James “Jimmy” Radevski. While our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in believing she has now been joyfully reunited with her Jimmy (Mitko) after 25 years apart.



Dadi arrived in America in 1965 during the New York World’s Fair with little beyond her family, an unwavering work ethic, and the drive to create a beautiful life. She began her time in America working alongside family at the First Street Bakery before becoming the co-owner of the Keystone Bar. In 1978, she and Jimmy became owners and operators of Sub Palace on College Hill, serving her community alongside her family until her retirement in 2023. Although her formal education ended shortly after elementary school, her curiosity and ambition to learn carried her through these endeavors in life with an incredible memory for stories, people, and the “little things.” This gave Dadi the extraordinary gift of always making you feel like family.



Nothing brought Dadi greater joy in life than her family and friends. Her greatest achievements in life are not in the businesses she built, but in the family she nurtured and the lives she touched. It is felt in every family gathering, every act of selflessness she engaged in, and every person that felt a little more loved because they knew her. Her kindness will ripple through generations and be carried by all of us. She is survived by her three children, Roger (Renee), Andy (Lori), and Amy (Mark); her brother Mihal (Oranje), her brother-in-law, Tashe (Bonnie) Radevski, and sister-in-laws, Nada (Jone) Nonevski and Patricia “Munchkin” Shade; her cherished grandchildren, Cody (Taylor) Radevski, Nikki (Tom) Reed, Dimitri (Olivia) Radevski, Mia (Christian) Perrin, Gianna (Mark) Leininger, Kier (Jenna) Ruggerio, Kelten Ruggerio, and Sahara Ruggerio; and maybe her most treasured gift, her great grandchildren, Clark Radevski and Naomi Perrin.



Dadi’s journey was rooted in love, generosity, and an endless devotion to others. Her legacy in this life is not what she built, but who she loved. To know her was to love her. And to be loved by her is a gift that will continue to be felt beyond the end of her time on Earth.

Mrs. Melinda M. Greer, 42, of Ellwood City passed away on Monday, July 13th, 2026 at her residence.

Melinda was born in Beaver, Pa on March 19th, 1984 to Mary Beth (Stiggi) Nocera and the late Louis Nocera. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 2002 and later from the Bradford Business School where she earned an associates degree in Medical Assistance. Most recently Melinda was working at Renodis in Ellwood City as a document specialist and at the Hungarian Home as a bartender. She belonged to the Ellwood City Women’s Pool League and never missed her nieces and nephews events.

She is survived by her husband Mark Greer whom she married on October 1st, 2016, her mother Mary Beth, sister and brother-in-law Angela and Matt Wyant of Ellport, brother and sister-in-law Louis and Leah Nocera of Chippewa, paternal grandmother Rose Marie Nocera of Ellwood City, nieces and nephews Lilianna Nocera, Luca Nocera, Lainey Nocera, Lylah Nocera, Jaxon Wyant, and Brady Wyant, and her beloved dog Scout.

Melinda was preceded in death by her father Louis, paternal grandfather Louis Nocera, and maternal grandparents Anthony and Mary Ann Stiggi.

Denise N. Allison, 74, of Ellwood City passed away on the morning of Wednesday, July 8th, 2026 at Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at New Wilmington.

Denise was born in Ellwood City to Charles and Martha (Dillaman) Allison on June 21st, 1952. She had worked at Medusa Cement, later known as C-Mex, for many years as an equipment operator. She was active in sports having played for the Hazel Manor Women’s Softball Team and Pool Team.

She was preceded in death by her sister Charlene Allison and brother-in-law Gerald Hess.

Denise is survived by her parents, sisters Susan Hess and Barb (Jeff) Rutter both of Ellwood City, nephew Joshua Cortez, niece Rochelle Hess also of Ellwood City, and her good friend Barb Stiles of Ellwood City.

The family would like to thank the staff of Kadima for their kind and very special care that they gave to Denise.

Linda L. Halt, 74, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, June, 30th, 2026 at her residence.

Linda is the daughter of the late John and Vincie (Perno) Court born on October 28th, 1951 in Ellwood City. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1969, was Catholic by faith, and a wonderful homemaker. She loved reading and time spent with her loving family.

She is survived by her daughters Lisa (Temple) McAllister of Ellwood City and Shay (Robert) Romano Jr. of Chewton, sons John (Hope) Miles of North Sewickley Township and Joe Court-Miles of Aliquippa, grandchildren; Robbie Romano, Anthony Miles, Rylie Miles, Lexus King, Jeffry McAllister Jr., and Davin McAllister, and her sister Rose (Mike) Miller of Ellwood City.
