Dear all of my very cherished clients,
First and foremost, I need to say thank you! It has been such an amazing opportunity to assist you all throughout your healing journeys. It has been such a beautiful FOUR years working for myself as a small business. I created this business in the hopes of helping others heal through the art and science of Massage Therapy and Reiki. I have always done my best to show up for every single client and provide each one of you the opportunity to have a safe and peaceful service, to ensure more rest, lots of relaxation, and to help rejuvenate the mind/body/spirit. What a gift it’s been to be able to work for myself, in my most authentic form. From my choice of sheets/towels, oils/lotions, music, meditations I’ve written/hosted, and of course all of my services created/provided. This is such a meaningful chapter of my life, and was definitely the best part of my career. I have given this business and all of my clients EVERYTHING I could. I always tried my very best to provide you with the best, and can honestly say that I am extremely proud of the woman I have become, and the LMT I am today.
Unfortunately I am writing you all this letter with a very broken heart, as this is my farewell. I have made a VERY difficult decision to close my studio and retire from my massage career as of October 1, 2026 when my lease ends.
Please know this was one of the hardest decisions I have EVER had to make….
Due to a hospitalization back in April that led me to become temporarily disabled from working, I endured many weeks of no work or pay, and LOTS of worry. I navigated through many different types of testing and imaging to my neck/shoulder to ensure that I could return to work until my next steps. It has been a VERY long couple of months as I continued to still work and rehab my neck/shoulder. Within this time I began reflecting on this injury, my body, and figuring out a shift in my career that would better suit my future, and my body's ability to fully heal and truly thrive going forward. Massage Therapy is an extremely demanding position, and unfortunately I am unable to continue on this career path with everything I have been going through.
I am very disappointed in the longevity of my business, but I am PROUD of my massage career and how far I have come. I am also very excited and ready to start this next chapter of my life. My heart is very heavy in having to walk away from a career that was truly a passion and a purpose for me. But I am grateful for all of the experience, knowledge, and beautiful people I have met and who helped me grow along the way. I started in the service industry right out of High School as a licensed cosmetologist doing hair and nails for ten years, and was able to have 8 beautiful years as a licensed massage therapist. After 18 years in the service industry, I am ready to retire and go back to college to shift my whole life. I have decided to advance within the medical field and return to College this fall. Officially switching from MT (massage therapist) to MA (medical assistant) to support me while I am going through school and get my Nursing degree. I started school for my massage career 10 years ago and recall how scared I was to shift from cosmetology and enter the medical field. Ironically 10 years later, here I am AGAIN! Thankfully this time with so much more medical knowledge, experience, support, and tools to help me along the way!
I will be booking clients in the studio until 9/24. Please know that every review given, every appointment made, every meditation attended, has always been SO appreciated. I am SO grateful for every bit of love and support from you ALL over the last four years. THANK YOU!
ALSO…PLEASE continue to stretch your bodies daily, meditate frequently, and be kind/patient to yourself on your healing journey! I am sending you LOVE & LIGHT ALWAYS!
