Self-compassion isn't the same as letting yourself off the hook. It's treating yourself with the same patience you'd offer someone you love who was struggling.
This weekend, try this: the next time you make a mistake, pause before the self-criticism starts. Ask what you'd say to a friend in the same spot. Then say that to yourself.

This month, mental health experts are talking a lot about "connection as medicine" — the idea that meaningful relationships actually buffer stress and protect our wellbeing, not just our mood.
Your self-esteem isn't built in isolation. It's shaped by the people who see you, and it grows stronger when you let yourself be truly known by them. Who's one person you could reach out to today?

Every boundary you set is a small statement about your own worth. "No" said clearly is a form of self-respect, even when it feels uncomfortable in the moment.
If boundaries feel hard for you, it's usually not a communication problem; it's a self-worth question underneath. You're allowed to take up space, protect your time, and say no without a long explanation.

Midweek thought: if you talked to a friend the way you talk to yourself, would they still be your friend?
Self-esteem isn't about never having a hard thought about yourself. It's about the overall tone, is your inner voice mostly on your side, or mostly against you? That tone is learnable. It can change.

There's a tired sleep doesn't touch — the kind you carry when you've become the one holding everyone else's schedule, needs, and worries in your head at all times. 💛

It's not in your head — the research backs it up. And coming back to yourself isn't selfish. It's what makes your love for your people sustainable.

New blog is up — the data behind the load, and small ways to start coming home to yourself.

August is peak wedding season, which means your feed is probably full of engagement rings, bridal parties, and "best day of my life" captions. If that stirs something uncomfortable in you, you're not petty and you're not broken.
Someone else's milestone is not a measurement of where you should be. Your timeline is yours. Let it be.

Back-to-school season brings a very specific kind of pressure; new routines, new supply lists, new schedules to manage, all while everyone else's Pinterest-perfect first day floods your feed.
If your house felt chaotic this morning instead of picture-perfect, that doesn't say anything about you as a parent. Transitions are hard on everyone in the house, including you. Give yourself the same grace you're giving your kid as they adjust.

Scroll through your feed today and count how many times you measured yourself against someone else's timeline. First-day-of-school photos. Engagement posts. Vacation recaps. It adds up fast, and it quietly chips away at how you see yourself.
Comparison isn't a character flaw. It's a habit, and habits can be interrupted. The next time you catch yourself doing it, just notice. That's the whole first step.

Self-esteem isn't about feeling confident all the time. It's about how you talk to yourself when you're not.

It's the voice in your head after a mistake. The way you show up (or don't) for your own needs. The permission you give yourself to take up space, rest, or say no.

If that inner voice has been harsh lately, that's not a personality flaw — it's often a pattern that was learned somewhere. And patterns can be unlearned.

Healing your relationship with yourself is real work, and you don't have to do it alone.

Is therapy working? It’s a question many people ask after a few sessions — and it doesn’t always have a simple answer. In our latest blog, we break down some signs of real progress, why setbacks are normal, and how to track change over time. Read more: https://wix.to/QkLTynZ

There comes a point in therapy where a lot of people start wondering, "Is this actually helping?"Maybe you've been going for a few weeks or even a few months. You still feel anxious sometimes.
