GLP-1 + Hormone Replacement

The research is starting to catch up to what we’re seeing in practice.

This is what happens in perimenopause and menopause: As estrogen declines, your metabolism shifts, and your body starts holding onto weight in ways it never did before.

And this is what the studies are finding. When researchers looked at GLP-1s in menopausal women, those also using hormone therapy lost significantly more weight over a year than those on the medication alone.

Same medication. Better results. The difference was the hormones underneath it.

So we use them together, and these are the benefits. Not just the scale, but better sleep, steadier energy, lower inflammation, and protected muscle and bone.

And yes, those results are great. But where I have found they have been incredibly helpful is taking the overwhelming part off your plate. That’s what lets you focus on the things that build lasting health, real nutrition and movement, so you can actually live a healthier life instead of fighting for one.

If your body stopped responding and no one’s given you a real answer, that’s what I do. Link in bio.

The warning moved. Prescribing went up. The knowledge hasn’t moved with it.

I’ve had a few instances where a patient had her treatment questioned. A dose someone suggested lowering because it just felt safer. No rationale behind it. And a change should always have a rationale. It can’t be a guess.

Thankfully these women came back to me. We had the full conversation again, and nothing was actually changed. But that’s the point. It should never have gotten that far.

Because the cost lands on her. We take a woman who finally feels good, and we hand her doubt for nothing.

That’s why I want you settled in your care before you ever walk out the door. So when you’re met with resistance or someone’s raised eyebrow, it doesn’t shake you. You already know why you’re doing what you’re doing.

If you’re a provider, this is worth sitting with. If you’re a patient, that confidence is exactly what I want you to leave with.

So tell me. What questions can I answer for you?

For twenty years, estradiol carried the FDA’s most serious warning label. It’s gone now.

So you might be wondering why I’m even bringing it up.

Because many women are still believing those headlines. That fear didn’t leave when the label did. It’s still the reason someone hesitates, or waits another two years, or never asks at all.

So we break it down. What the warning said. Why it was there. Why it’s gone. And what we actually know now.

Not because you need to defend yourself. Because you deserve to feel settled in your own decision.

Informed isn’t the same as reassured. I want you to feel both.

Do you have any questions about estradiol? Drop them below and I’ll answer them.

Believe it or not, if you have PCOS, your periods might get more regular in perimenopause. Let’s talk about it.

As we age, our ovaries change and your cycle may smooth out. But a hormonal shift isn’t the same as healing.

So this is the time to pay closer attention, not back off. PCOS doesn’t retire. The insulin resistance, the metabolic risk, the heart risk, all still there.

If your cycle evened out and something still feels off, that’s worth a real look. Come talk to me.

Everyone seems to have an opinion about GLP 1s.

I think they’re asking the wrong question.

It’s not just “Should I take one?”

It’s…

Why am I struggling?

What’s driving it?

And if we decide a GLP 1 is the right tool, are we using it the right way?

That’s the conversation I want to have.

Because that’s how you build lasting health.

FOR THE WOMAN IN HER 40s WHO’S BEEN TOLD, “IT’S JUST STRESS.”

Maybe it is.

But if you’ve spent the last year blaming stress for every change in your body, it might be time to ask a different question.

Because not feeling like yourself isn’t a diagnosis.

It’s a signal.

And while stress can absolutely play a role, it’s not always the whole story.

For many women, these changes can be some of the earliest signs of perimenopause.

You deserve more than a quick explanation, normal labs, or another bandaid solution.

You deserve someone willing to look at the full picture.

✨ What was the first thing that made you think, “Something feels different?” ⬇️
