Dave was a member of the Chemung County Holstein Club, serving as its president for more than 20 years. Beyond his distinguished veterinary career, Dave was a lifetime member of the Pine City Volunteer Fire Department, serving as Fire Chief from 1974 to 1976. He was an avid hunter who loved “good” country music, county fairs, square dancing, and a delicious piece of pie.
