The Mental Health, Addiction and Recovery Services Board of Lorain County, Lorain County Public Health and the Elyria Parks & Recreation Department are bringing our community together TODAY. Saturday, August 15, for Chalk the Walk. Come on down now to Ely Square …. We are here until 2:00 pm!

Community members will create colorful chalk art with uplifting messages that help reduce the stigma surrounding substance use, support people seeking recovery, and honor those impacted by overdose.

August is Overdose Awareness Month, and the MHARS Board, Lorain County Public Health, and the Elyria Parks & Recreation Department invite you to Chalk the Walk on Saturday, August 15.

This free event is open to all ages and artistic abilities. Join us as we fill the sidewalks with messages of hope, encouragement, and remembrance. Together, we'll help reduce the stigma surrounding substance use, support those in recovery, and honor the lives lost to overdose.

As we lead up to International Overdose Awareness Day, let's stand together as a community to spread hope, inspire healing, and show that recovery is possible.

A great community event held by the Lorain County Su***de Prevention Coalition. They invited families and community members to a free fishing event focused on mental wellness, community connection, and su***de prevention awareness. The event was open to all ages and skill levels, with fishing equipment, instruction, and activities provided at no cost. And FREE ICE CREAM! 💜
