📣 GRANT OPPORTUNITY! 📣

Calling all Pennsylvania grocers! Check out the Pennsylvania Fresh Food Financing Initiative, an opportunity to receive funding to help open or expand healthy food options in your community. Grant applications are now open, and the deadline to apply is September 15, 2026.

A statewide public-private financing program administered by The Food Trust, PA FFFI helps business owners open or expand healthy grocery outlets in communities throughout the commonwealth.

Overseen by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), the PA FFFI is administered by The Food Trust in partnership with Pennsylvania-based community development financial institutions (CDFIs).

The program provides grants and technical assistance to nonprofit, for-profit and cooperative food businesses that help increase access to healthy, affordable food and improve economic opportunities for low- to moderate-income residents of urban, suburban and rural areas of Pennsylvania. Grant awards will range from $5,000 – $200,000. Please refer to the Request for Applications (RFA) for more details.

American Heritage will soon open its first branch in the Lehigh Valley! Its Allentown branch, located at 1120 Cedar Crest Boulevard, will be open soon. But in the meantime, American Heritage members can use both ATM and ITM services at this location.

On Saturday, August 1st, the East Penn & Western Lehigh Chambers were proud to celebrate the grand re-opening of Lehigh Valley Martial Arts & Active Learning Centers of Trexlertown with a ribbon cutting ceremony!

Guests had the opportunity to check out the newly remodeled space, meet the team, and enjoy an afternoon filled with kids’ activities and demonstrations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and congratulations again to Lehigh Valley Martial Arts and Active Learning Centers on this exciting new chapter!

Exciting news! This school year, we'll be packing and delivering Snack Packs THREE times each month instead of two—which means even more children will head home with food for the weekend! 🎉

To make that happen, we need your help keeping our Snack Pack shelves stocked.

Join us for our Drive-Up Food Collection on Saturday, August 22, from 8:00–11:00 a.m. Just pull into Parkland CARES, pop your trunk, and our volunteers will unload your donations. It's quick, easy, and you'll never have to leave your car!
