We’re pleased to announce a new partnership between Ada County Medical Society’s Physician Vitality Program and Baker Integrative Counseling, PLLC to provide discreet, confidential, and supportive mental health services for Idaho prescribers and healthcare professionals.

Through the Physician Vitality Program (PVP), eligible physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners can access confidential support designed specifically for the unique pressures of medical practice — including burnout, stress, compassion fatigue, work-life balance challenges, and personal wellness.

At Baker Integrative Counseling, we understand the importance of privacy, professionalism, and compassionate care for those who spend their lives caring for others. We are proud to support the wellbeing and resilience of Idaho’s healthcare community.

We are honored to announce that Baker Integrative Counseling, PLLC has been awarded grant funding to support mental health services for first responders and community professionals impacted by the opioid epidemic.

Every day, those on the front lines—EMS personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, healthcare workers, social workers, educators, and community advocates—carry the emotional weight of this crisis while continuing to serve others with compassion and strength. This funding will help expand access to trauma-informed counseling, emotional support, and wellness services for the individuals who care for our communities during some of their most difficult moments.

Healing those who help others is essential to building healthier families and stronger communities. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue this work and for the partnerships that make it possible.

Together, we can reduce stigma, support resilience, and create pathways toward healing and recovery.

An integrative therapeutic approach offers a bespoke, holistic methodology that amalgamates theoretical underpinnings and techniques from a range of therapeutic orientations to meet the unique needs of individual clients. As such, it is more accurately described as a movement within psychotherapy rather than a discrete therapeutic approach.

Through combining disparate psychological theories and tailoring standard interventions, integrative therapists are often able to provide a more flexible and inclusive treatment framework than proponents of singular psychotherapeutic models. This holistic approach seeks to address an individual's mental, physical, and emotional health in a unified manner, hence its occasional designation as holistic therapy.

The therapeutic dyad works collaboratively to elucidate the sources of the client's anxiety, distress, or maladaptive patterns. Clients who prefer a collaborative therapeutic relationship and wish to assume an active role in the therapeutic process may derive particular benefit from an integrative therapeutic approach.
