Let’s send our youth back to school, with their best “feet” forward! We are now collecting new or gently used shoes, through August 1, to distribute to the youth of our communities. Donations may be dropped off Monday through Thursday 9 AM to 4 PM at either of our locations.

Please join us in welcoming our newest Qualified Mental Health Paraprofessional, Joi Moore, to the Guiding Light family! Joi is a rising Senior at Norfolk State University, majoring in Psychology. She is a natural leader who enjoys dancing and being a role model to the youth of her church and community. We look forward to being a part of her educational and professional journey!

Guiding Light Family Services would like to invite the community out to our 3rd Annual Mental Health Walk & Fair as we come together to spread awareness, encourage healing, and remind others that: Stay: “Tomorrow Needs You!”

Mental health matters, and no one should feel like they have to fight their battles alone. This event is all about support, unity, encouragement, and letting people know that it’s okay to not be okay. 💚
