Seacrest Village Retirement Communities Senior Living in the Jewish Tradition Comprehensive retirement living with various levels of care in a resort-style environment.

Independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing, long-term care and rehabilitation. Seacrest Village Retirement Communities was originally known as the "San Diego Hebrew Homes". We are a Jewish non-profit 501(C)3 retirement community. In 1989 the organization moved from San Diego to Encinitas and changed the name to Seacrest Village Retirement Communities. We maintain a strong Jewish tradition: we serve Kosher culinary, have an on-staff Rabbi, and a Synagogue. A few other amenities include 2 indoor pools, putting green, fitness center, spa, massage, fire pits, koi pond, movie theater, and transportation to local shopping and entertainment.

For Erica and Steven Ratner, joining Stroll for the Soul is deeply personal. Erica grew up watching the women in her family help build Seacrest, following the 5th commandment to honor your parents.

“My grandmother, Anne Ratner, Great Aunt Sally Ratner, Great Aunt Pearl Cutler, Great Aunt Frieda, and Aunt Pauline helped build Seacrest alongside the other incredible members of the Jolly 16. I’m proud to continue my family's legacy of honoring our parents and supporting seniors, and I hope you’ll join me.”

Steven served as Chair of the Board of Directors of Seacrest Village for four years and currently serves on the board of Seacrest at Home. His commitment to Seacrest has been shaped both by what he has seen professionally and by the gratitude he feels for the care his mother, Lois, receives as a resident.

Through his legal work with families navigating assisted living and skilled nursing care throughout San Diego County, Steven has seen firsthand how much the quality of care, leadership, and priorities of a facility can affect residents and their families. He wants to do what he can to make sure Seacrest can continue putting the people who live here first for generations to come. That is why the Ratner’s are inaugural Sponsors of the event and have also registered to walk and raise funds.

For Erica and Steven, supporting Seacrest is both personal and generational, carrying forward a family tradition of caring for people as they age and making sure they are treated with dignity.
