In our published 2023 study, 74% of participants with measurable cognitive impairment improved their cognitive function after a personalized, multimodal intervention.

That finding raises an important question:

Why do some people improve while others plateau or continue to decline?
In my clinical experience, it rarely comes down to a single treatment, supplement, or diagnosis.

Instead, there are several factors that influence what is possible for any individual person. Some of them are biological. Some are practical. Some are surprisingly overlooked.

In this carousel, I’m sharing the 5 factors I believe matter most.

And in my upcoming free webinar, I’ll dive deeper into each one, including how they show up in both the research and real-world patient outcomes.

If you’re concerned about memory changes, supporting a loved one, or simply want to better understand what influences cognitive decline, I hope you’ll join me.

For a long time, cognitive decline has been treated as a one-way road.

But in our published 2023 study, 74% of participants with measurable cognitive impairment improved their cognitive function after a personalized, multimodal intervention.

These were not participants with mild forgetfulness. These were individuals already experiencing documented decline.

What this research suggests is something important: the brain may respond when we identify and address the underlying contributors driving cognitive decline.

So the question becomes:
What factors actually influence whether improvement is possible?

That’s exactly what I’ll be teaching in my free live webinar:

One of the hardest parts about cognitive decline is being told there’s nothing you can do.

But what we now understand is that Alzheimer’s and cognitive decline are often influenced by multiple underlying factors—and many of those factors may be addressable.

That’s why I’m hosting a free live webinar:

🧠 “Is It Too Late? The 5 Factors That Determine Whether Cognitive Decline Can Be Reversed”
📅 June 16th at 2 PM PST

Inside, I’ll walk through the key factors that influence brain health, cognition, and the potential for improvement—using both research and clinical experience to guide the conversation.

Whether you’re concerned about your own memory, supporting a loved one, or simply want to better understand what’s possible, I would love to have you join us.

If you’re new here, welcome 💛

My work is centered around one core belief: there are things you can do to support your brain and influence the trajectory of cognitive decline.

For years, many people have been told Alzheimer’s is simply inevitable. What we now understand is that brain health is influenced by many interconnected factors—and when we address those factors, meaningful improvement may be possible.

Here, I share practical, evidence-informed strategies for brain health, cognitive decline prevention, caregiving, and healthy aging. My goal is to make this information feel clear, empowering, and actionable.

If you’d like deeper education, research, tools, and updates from me directly, my newsletter is the best place to start.

We often associate Alzheimer’s with memory loss. But mood and behavior changes can sometimes appear first.

Anxiety. Apathy. Irritability. Withdrawal. Depression.

These shifts are often dismissed as stress, personality changes, or normal aging. Sometimes they are. But sometimes they are signals that the brain needs support.

By the time we see obvious memory symptoms, underlying imbalances may have been developing for years. That’s why paying attention early matters.

This does not mean every mood change is dementia. Far from it. Sleep disruption, blood sugar issues, hormones, inflammation, loneliness, thyroid dysfunction, medications, and nutrient deficiencies can all affect mood and cognition.

What matters is curiosity, not fear.

If someone you love feels noticeably different, it may be time to look deeper.
There are things you can do.

Brain fog, anxiety, and forgetfulness are often treated like separate problems.

But many times, they share the same underlying drivers.

What we now understand is that symptoms like these can be signals, not random flaws, and not something to simply ignore.

7 root causes worth addressing:
• Poor sleep
• Chronic stress
• Blood sugar swings
• Nutrient deficiencies
• Hormonal changes
• Inflammation
• Sedentary lifestyle

When these systems are out of balance, the brain often feels it first. Focus drops. Memory slips. Stress tolerance shrinks. Mental clarity becomes harder to access.

The good news is this: when we identify and address the contributors, symptoms often improve.

This is why I always encourage people to look deeper than the label. Brain fog is not a root cause. Anxiety is not a root cause. Forgetfulness is not a root cause. They are clues.

There are things you can do. Start with the foundations and build from there.
