You know nothing is wrong.
At least, nothing you can point to.
No crisis.
No bad news.
No obvious problem to solve.
And yet…
Your chest feels tight.
Your mind is racing.
You keep checking your phone.
You’re replaying conversations.
You’re trying to figure out what you might be missing.
Sometimes anxiety doesn’t need something bad to be happening right now.
Sometimes your brain has simply gotten used to looking ahead.
To preparing.
To anticipating.
To making sure you’re never caught off guard.
And when you’ve spent enough time doing that, calm can start to feel unfamiliar.
So if you’re feeling anxious today, pause before you start searching for proof that something is wrong.
Ask yourself:
What do I actually know right now?
You can acknowledge your anxiety without automatically believing the story it’s trying to tell you.
Because feeling anxious doesn’t always mean you’re in danger.
Sometimes it just means your nervous system hasn’t gotten the message that, for this moment…
You don’t have to prepare for anything. 🤍
