This Memorial Day our Owner, Roger Rhodes, went to Fort Logan to pay tribute to our fallen heroes; recognizing their sacrifice, selflessness and valor. “Spending hours walking the rows and rows of headstones and monuments was a somber, grounding experience. Honored to be in the presence of so many Service men and women, I walked away so grateful we can pay it back by caring for Veterans and their Spouses thru VA Benefit programs.”

Roger’s father, father-in law, uncles and aunts all served in WWII. Aunt Helen saw combat as a RN in a front-line medical unit. Acknowledging the bravery and dedication of these fallen service members inspires us to rededicate ourselves to serve and care for those Veterans who served.

Giving Back to the Community - Educational Panel.

The Congregational Care Committee at St. Gabriel the Archangel Episcopal Church invited Homewatch CareGivers to present a panel on Mental Wellness.
Educational Director, Mindy Sterling, assembled a three-person panel. Rev. Amy Petré-Hill, JD, M. Div; Janet Reichart, LCSW and Roger Rhodes, CPS, EAC provided resources on “How Different Types of Trauma Impacts Our Brain and Mental Well-Being”; “How to Protect a Loved One Living with Dementia” and “18 Causes of Dementia that can be Reversed.”
Many great questions came out of this very important talk. Many stayed after to ask more questions; gather information and learn about the 7 Domains of Well Being for People Living with Dementia.

Our Owner, Roger Rhodes, and our Education Director, Mindy Sterling, had a great time attending the Older Adult Health Resource Expo, held at the Highlands Ranch Senior Center. They were excited to connect with our community and educate all those that stopped by our booth to learn about all the wonderful benefits of In-Home care.

We here at Homewatch CareGivers of Southwest Denver are VERY proud to announce that our very own Roger Rhodes, Owner, was crowned the Chili Cook-Off Champ of Gleneagles Village! 🌶️ 🏆 🎊

His wife, Darby, our other Owner, gifted him with the recipe for her White Chicken Chili, and they won! Here Roger is proudly sporting his Chili Champ apron which he has sworn never to take off (even at work) 😆.

The holidays may be over, but the glow from our Homewatch CareGivers’ Annual Holiday Party lives on! We were so blessed to host our wonderful Caregivers and their families for a three-day long party filled with laughter, reconnecting with colleagues, and far too much sugar and carbs! 🎄✨💙
