Eileen P. Mead

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen “Lee” Palmer Mead of Englewood, FL on July 13, 2026, at the age of 80. Eileen was born in Summit, NJ and grew up in Madison, New Jersey, having graduated from Hanover Park High School and Centenary College for Women in Hackettstown, NJ. She worked in various fields including administrative professional, a flight attendant for Braniff Airlines, paralegal, and in real estate. When not working outside the home, Lee enjoyed golf, reading, travel, sewing and other crafts, playing cards and games, and volunteering at the library, local hospital, and her children’s schools. After raising their family in NJ, they relocated to the Charlotte, NC area before retiring to Englewood, FL. They thoroughly enjoyed the friends and community of Boca Royale ~ a paradise of golf, swimming and close to the beach. Her final years were spent at Heritage Oaks of Englewood.

Family memories include the daily happy hour which not only included snacks for those there, but a special bowl with treats for the different ‘fur” family members that also knew exactly what time it was. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Gary internationally, including a special trip to England with Mandy, as well as amazing locations stateside. A cruise with Misty and family led to many more cruises she took with Gary and friends including iconic locations of Hawaii and Alaska, as well as tropical locations in the Caribbean. Leaving no stone unturned, there were many visits to local wineries with Mandy and breweries with Misty, and always a hike in the woods or mountains with her grandchildren. An avid reader, she enjoyed mysteries and historical thrillers, and always the daily crossword puzzles from the newspaper. Her grandchildren remember fondly “Camp Grandma & Grandpa”, crafts, cooking, and numerous trips to the pool and beach.

She is survived by daughters Melissa (Misty) Mead Hinson (R. Michael) of High Springs, FL; Amanda (Mandy) Mead Fenno (Phil) of Englewood; sister Linda Palmer Friedman of Naples, FL; grandchildren Zachary P. Hinson of Gainesville, FL; and Heidi E. Hinson of Pensacola, FL; and 3 nieces, Brielle Friedman, Danielle Palmer-Friedman, and Stephanie Louise Cullum. And Gibbs, her cat. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary, parents Michael P. Palmer and Mary Ann Palmer. A private burial at Sarasota National Cemetery for immediate family to follow.

Ronda Bernice Tague

Ronda Tague of Englewood Florida was born on October 9th 1952 in Cameron Missouri and passed away on July 9th 2026 at the age of 73. She grew up and built a life in NW Missouri and spending 15 plus years married to Larry Tague in Gallatin Missouri, going on to build cherished memories with family and friends in Hamilton and St.Joseph as well as dedicating 10 plus years to the skydiving community before moving to sunny Florida in 2005 with her significant other Jon Frank.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Clarabelle Schroff brother Butch Shroff, sisters Louise Estridge and Patty Estes.

She is survived by sisters Donna Sterling of Bethany Missouri and Joyce Wilson of Diamond City Arkansas. Children Randy Tague of Bethany Missouri and daughter Heather Durham of Englewood Florida. Living grandmother of four grandchildren Megan, Nathen, Taylorann and David. Great grandmother to Peyton, Brady, Oliver, Kenzie, Maylin, Harper and Patton. She also leaves behind many nice, nephew and friends who we're enriched and uplifted by her sense of adventure, strength, resilience as well as dreamy and creative nature.

It is with loving hearts and treasured memories that we give Ronda to the Lord with special thanks to the profound support of Tidewell Hospice.

A service is being planned for Saturday July 25th at Stish Funeral Home at 1329 W Grand St. Gallatin Missouri 64640 and will be laid to fees alongside of her parents at Brown Cemetery in Gallatin Missouri.

Randall Charles Deschler

Born July 14, 1948, killed unexpectedly in an accident on February 6, 2024.

He is survived by his brother, Tom (Rosemarie), and his sister Bonnie (Tom Hartmann), as well as several nieces and nephews, and his loving companion, Bernardine Sanders.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Edith Deschler, and sadly, his daughter passed away shortly after Randy died.

Randy grauated from Colonel White High School in 1966 and went on to Wright State University; where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Econometrics.

He worked at General Motors for 33 years before retiring. After retirement, Randy moved to Rotonda West, Florida, where he enjoyed golf, fishing, and bird watching. He was an avid fan of Ohio State football, the Cincinnati Reds baseball team, and Wright State University basketball.

Randy will be remembered for his quick wit, his dry sense of humor, and his love of The Weather Channel.

A private family graveside memorial at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio; and celebration of life luncheon to follow is planned for Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

A schololarship fund has been established with The Cincinnati Reds Community Fund in the name of The Randall and Courtney Deschler Camp Scholoaship Fund.

A. Davis Mead III

Armistead Davis Mead III passed away peacefully at his home in Rotonda West, Florida, on June 12, 2026. He was 83 years old.

Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, on August 20, 1942, Davis was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Mead. A 1963 graduate of The Linsly School, he attended Bethany College before serving in the United States Marine Corps.

Following his military service, Davis built a remarkable career in hospitality spanning more than five decades. After working in New York City and Vermont, he made Saratoga Springs his home, where he became a driving force in the city’s restaurant and entertainment community. In the 1970s, he was an original partner and owner of the Tin & Lint, later opened Gaffney’s with his former wife and friend, Roxanne Mead, and helped establish the Caroline Street Block Party to raise money for the upkeep and street lighting on Caroline Street. In 1983, he and partners opened Siro’s Restaurant, transforming it into one of Saratoga’s most celebrated dining destinations and creating “The Yard”, a popular gathering place for live entertainment and post-race celebrations.

Davis, as stated on his calling card, simply had his full name, then below, the term “Raconteur”. He will be fondly remembered as an unforgettable storyteller and for his warmth, tremendous sense of humor, and quick wit. He had the privilege of working with many restaurant professionals from around the country, whom he later referred to as friends and family. In recent years, he enjoyed life in Florida, where he spent time with close friends and continued sharing his stories, humor, and warmth that defined him. Davis held on to this warmth and humor until his final days.

Davis is survived by his stepchildren, Wendy A. Krotow (Michael) and Jason Thorud, both of Saratoga Springs; his sister, Mary Mead Utt of Roanoke, Virginia; his brother Robert C. Mead (Amy) of Wheeling, West Virginia; his sister-in-law, Mary Jane Mead of Charlottesville, Virginia; his former wife and dear friend; Roxanne Mead; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved grandchildren, Jack, Anna, Laurin, Kara, and Ellie, who knew him simply as “Pops”.

He was predeceased by his son and best friend, Armistead D. Mead IV (Adam), and his brother, Charles P. Mead Jr.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to his caregiver, Diane Capoferi; his dear friend, German Beltran; and the nurses and staff of Tidewell Hospice for their compassionate care.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for August 4th at the Hi-Note from 3 pm to 6 pm in Saratoga Springs, NY. Davis will later be honored privately by his family and laid to rest along with his son in Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Kenneth William Gipe

Kenneth William Gipe, 78, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025 in Port Charlotte, Florida, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He and his wife Diane split their time over the last several years between Lakeside, Ohio and Port Charlotte. He was born on November 15, 1947 to Kenneth Wayne and Mary Elizabeth (Christie) Gipe in Toledo, Ohio. After graduating from Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio and the University of Toledo, he started his 30-year career with the Port Clinton City Schools teaching Physical Education and American History, primarily at Port Clinton High School. He also coached junior high and high school girls volleyball, junior high and high school swimming, and high school boys golf throughout his career. He married Patricia (Pat) Anne (Edler) on November 25, 1970, and together they created a family and an amazing life in Port Clinton until Pat’s passing on December 19, 2014. On March 18, 2017, Ken married Diane Durholt Hohman of Findlay, Ohio, and joined her joyfully large family of four children and their spouses, children, and grandchildren. They spent over nine wonderful years together traveling, playing Santa and Mrs. Claus, and spending time with their friends and families. He was welcomed into Heaven by his first wife Pat, as well as other family members who preceded him in death: his parents and parents-in-law, brother David (Candy) Gipe of Charlotte, North Carolina, sons Kenneth Scott (d. August 16, 1972) and Steven Patrick (d. March 28, 2022), one unborn daughter, and stepson Nathan (Jenny) Hohman (d. March 10, 2023) of Findlay, Ohio. He is lovingly remembered every day by his daughter Christie (Keith) Kuhlmann and their children Brandon and Katie of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, Steve’s ex-wife Sarah Gipe and their daughters Maura and Adelyn Gipe of Columbus, Ohio, brother Douglas (Beth) Gipe of Pittsboro, North Carolina, Pat’s siblings Helen (Larry) Gross, Carol (Jeff) Bobak, Terri Edler, and Paul (Kris) Edler; and fourteen nieces and nephews as well as their children; wife Diane Durholt Hohman, and her children Derek (DiAnna) Hohman, Mya (Mike) Gibson, and Jared Hohman, fourteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Ken spent the majority of his life in service to others via teaching and coaching; his goal was always to help positively shape young people into contributing members of society, however they chose to give back. He began as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the Boys Club in East Toledo when he was in high school, continuing at Port Clinton City Schools as a swimming and diving coach, where he stayed involved with the PCHS Swim Program until his death. He taught untold thousands of children (and a few adults) in Northwest Ohio and beyond how to swim in the Swim Lesson Program he ran every summer until he retired in 2000. He started teaching lessons again and working at the Lakeside Pool when it opened in 2017, and continued to work at the pool until the summer before his death. During and after his tenure as a swim coach, swimming and diving official for high school and college meets including the NCAA Championships every year, active involvement with the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA), and the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), he received recognition and awards too numerous to mention. Most notably, he served as NISCA’s President 1993-1995, and was a founding member and commissioner of the Northwest Ohio Aquatic Conference (NWOAC). He was awarded the OHSAA Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity Award in 1997 and was inducted into the Ohio High School Swim Coaches Hall of Fame in 2003 and the PCHS Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009. He received the Ohio High School Swim Coaches Association (OHSSCA) Larry Lyons award in 2000, and the Carl Wirthwein Award in 2005, which is considered the highest honor of all awards given by OHSSCA; it is given annually to an individual who has significantly contributed to high school swimming and diving in Ohio. Perhaps the distinction he was most honored to receive was having the “Port Clinton Relays” swim meet renamed the “Ken Gipe Relays” upon his retirement from teaching and coaching at PCHS. He stayed involved with the Relays, serving as Meet Manager until 2023. Ken, along with first wife Pat who was his steadfast supporter and partner in all things teaching, coaching, and parenting, was also an active and faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Clinton, where he served as an usher and Church Council member.

“Coach Gipe”, as he was lovingly called by so many, will be remembered at a funeral service at St. John’s on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at 11:30am, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Catawba Island Club Harbour Room in Port Clinton from 1:30-4:30pm. A private burial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Port Clinton on Monday July 13, 2026. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Ken Gipe Memorial Swim Scholarship which will be awarded annually to a deserving high school senior on the

Charles Vernon Brogan

Charles Vernon Brogan, known as “Vernon” or “Vern”, passed away on June 21, 2026 at the age of 73. The oldest of three brothers, Vernon graduated from Miamisburg High School class of 1971. He held a long and successful career at Miami Paper/Frasier Papers, eventually becoming superintendent. This is also where he met his wife and soulmate, to begin a dream that saw them in a beautiful small farm in Ohio, and eventually led to a happy retired life on the Florida gulf shores.

Vernon was a kind, strong, hardworking man of integrity. He was a fixer and a builder, often working on projects around his home and his father’s farm. He indulged his daughter’s love for horses by becoming a horseman himself, something that the family enjoyed together. He loved cars from the time he was young, and in retirement enjoyed sprucing up his current Corvette convertible. He had a long fasciation with airplanes and flying, earning his private pilot’s license in the 80s and even owning an Archer II for a time. He could often be found outdoors, most recently spending time in his Florida backyard with his Jack Russell Terriers. Most importantly, Vernon loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, and son.

Vernon was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Leffew Brogan, and his brother, Dennis Brogan. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 39 years, Karen Frost Brogan, his daughter, Carrie (Mike) Bell, grandson Connor Brogan, grandson Evan(Valerie) Bell, and granddaughter Allie Bell, as well as his father Glen Brogan, brother David (Eileen) Brogan, nephew Lee (Kestrel) Brogan with great-nephews Bard, Sage, and Ward, niece Amelia (Kim) Brogan, sister in law Dawn Brogan, as well as many additional family members and friends. Vernon is greatly loved, will be forever remembered, and deeply missed.

William Yoder

William Yoder, 88, passed away on June 11, 2026.

Born on May 11, 1938, William lived a life marked by faith, family, service, and a lifelong love of sports and music. He was married to his beloved wife, Janice Yoder, for 65 years, and together they built a life centered on love, devotion, and family. He was a proud father to Sandra Ward and Dan Yoder (Melissa Yoder), a loving grandfather to Bradley (Olivia Ward).

William served his country as a member of the Army National Guard, where he was a tank driver. That same sense of discipline and dedication carried throughout his life. He also had a passion for sports as both a fan and an athlete, especially ping pong, baseball, and golf. His remarkable talent in table tennis earned him 70 medals in the Senior Olympic Games, and he was once affectionately referred to by the local news as the “King of Ping Pong.”

In addition to his athletic achievements, William enjoyed playing the organ, sharing his love of music in a way that reflected both his spirit and personality. He was also a dedicated servant of the Lord and an active member of the church community at Calvery Baptist Church. His faith was evident in the way he lived, served, and cared for others.

William was a great dad who taught his children the importance of faith, hard work, and perseverance. He was known for being able to fix anything and for his friendly personality and easy way of striking up a conversation with anyone. Those who knew him will remember his warmth, his humor, and the example he set through both word and deed.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A committal service will be held at Gulf Pines Memorial Park, 2401 Englewood Road, Englewood, Florida, on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 at two o’clock p.m.

Kenneth Linwood Robinson, Jr.

January 15, 1947 – April 25, 2026

Kenneth Linwood Robinson, Jr. (79), of both Venice, FL, and Springfield, NH, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the comfort of his Venice home, surrounded by the loving care of family and friends.

Ken, affectionately known as “Topper,” was born on Wednesday, January 15, 1947, in Fall River, MA, a son to the late Kenneth L. Robinson, Sr. and Dorothy B. Kelly Robinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorene Gross Robinson.

As a teen, “Topper” grew up sailing in Rhode Island and excelled in the Tiverton Yacht Club races and regattas. He shined on the basketball court as an exceptional “shooter,” achieving championship status at B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River ('65). Ken carried that love of the sport throughout his life, joining various leagues in the Concord, NH, area. In later years, he embraced the challenge of golf and could easily be talked into a second round as he walked off the course after playing 18 holes in the morning. Only his love of classic cars competed with his enthusiasm for the game of golf.

Ken made lifelong friendships as a member of the Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) fraternity while attending Ohio Wesleyan University ('69). He earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1973 and joined the law practice of Sulloway & Hollis, followed by a partnership at Perkins, Upshall & Robinson, both in Concord, NH. His career took him to West Virginia as Executive Vice President at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and later back north as Vice President of Market Conduct at Chubb Life (later Jefferson-Pilot and Lincoln Financial), working in both NH and NJ. Ken eventually joined Northeast Delta Dental in Concord, where he served as General Counsel until his retirement. There he forged deep bonds while generously offering legal advice to co-workers. His wit and warmth made him effortless to talk to, as did the candy jar that sat perpetually—and invitingly—full in his office.

Ken’s spirit of service spanned decades, including work with the Bow Athletic Club, the Concord SPCA, Junior Achievement, and Leadership NH. He served as President of the Rotary Club of Concord (2008-2009) and as a Director on the Board of the Bank of New Hampshire until 2023.

He is survived by Vicki, his devoted wife and the love of his life, with whom he shared 25 wonderful years of marriage. He was the proudest “Dad” to both his daughter, Abigail Robinson (Thaer Almasri), and son, Matthew Robinson (Joanie Grant); and step-sons David Piwoski, Richard Piwoski (Jill), and Daniel Piwoski. He leaves behind his sister, Lynne Robinson Elder, and brother, Brant Robinson (Louise). An adored and wonderfully funny “Grandpa,” he leaves a legacy of laughter for his grandchildren—Gabriel, Viola, Adam, and Sati—and his step-grandchildren, Saydi, Ryder, Samantha, and Samuel. He remains in the hearts of his nephew Charlie, his nieces Kim, Kerry, Jennifer, Becka, and Hayley, and the extended family and countless friends whose lives he touched with his kindness.

Edward Alan (Santa) Dutcher

Edward Alan "Santa" Dutcher

Edward Alan Dutcher, affectionately known as "Ed" and "Santa" to many who knew and loved him, passed away peacefully and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born November 16, 1949, in Brockton, Massachusetts, Ed was the son of the late Walter and Elin Dutcher. He entered the world as an identical twin, arriving just six minutes after his beloved brother, Eric Dutcher, who never let him forget it. Ed was one of six siblings and was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Eric Dutcher and Joe Dutcher; and his former wife and dear friend, Linda Dutcher. He is survived by his siblings Judy Olsen, Jan Dutcher, and Jay Dutcher.

Ed grew up in Brockton, Massachusetts, on the same street as boxing legend Rocky Marciano. A proud member of the Brockton High School Class of 1967, he enlisted in the United States Army immediately following graduation at just 17 years old. He served his country honorably for four years, including time in Vietnam. During his military service, Ed discovered the profession that would become his lifelong career and passion: cooking. As a chef, he spent decades bringing people together through food, friendship, and hospitality.

A Brockton native for most of his life, Ed retired and, in 2016, relocated to Englewood, Florida, to his parents' cherished snowbird paradise and a place he considered his own slice of heaven.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Brenda Johnson Dutcher, with whom he shared many happy years before they were married in 2021.

His legacy lives on through his children: daughters Amanda Dutcher, Cristie Dutcher, Heather Dutcher, and son Jason Weiner. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren. He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives he touched through his kindness, humor, generosity, and unwavering love for family.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Ed's life at Abundant Life Worship Center in Englewood, Florida, during the 9:46 a.m. service on Sunday, June 7.

A Massachusetts Celebration of Life will also be held on Saturday, June 13, at 2:00 p.m. at 113 Errol Road, Brockton, Massachusetts, for all who wish to honor and commemorate this wonderful man's life with love, laughter, and fond memories.

Ed's warmth, witty humor, devotion to family, service to his country, and gift for bringing people together will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Randall J. Grathen

Randy Grathen walked into the arms of Jesus on the morning of May 26, 2026. His wife, Laurie, was at his side as he peacefully drew his last earthly breath. Randy’s battle with cancer was blessedly short and relatively pain-free.

Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Richard Grathen and Carole Glawe Grathen, 6 blocks from Lambeau Field, Randy was a life-long Packers fan and owned 1 share of the team. He joined the US Air Force in 1972, retiring in 1994. One of his favorite military adventures was the 3 years he spent on Guam doing atmospheric research flying into typhoons.

Randy’s faith and deep love of Jesus carried him through life’s journeys and difficulties with grace and peace. He strove to be a man after God’s own heart.

He was a talented and clever writer, inventor, grill master, everything fixer, and friend. He loved people and people loved him back. He had the ability to make each person he interacted with feel like they were the most important thing in his world at the moment.

When Randy retired he started the website, OurHighPlaces.com, to provide an on-line place for people to tell the stories of God’s faithfulness in their lives. It is his greatest legacy.

There will be a Celebration of Life on June 24, 2026 at 6 pm at Heartland Worship Center, Camdenton, Missouri. Internment, with military honors, will be in the Sarasota National Cemetery in August 2026, date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, food or monetary gifts, please consider making a donation in his name to Southwest Florida Honor Flight. Randy joined his mother, father and brother, Rick, in heaven. He is survived by his wife, Laurie, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage last December. Also surviving are 5 siblings, Kristine (Gary) Barnes, Lynn (David) Trickle, Terri (Frank) Lyss, Scott (Laura) Grathen, Mark Grathen. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews will miss him.
