Helping you heal, grow & thrive. Schedule Now: nurturedheartscounseling.clientsecure.me Nurtured Hearts Counseling was created out of my ultimate passion for working with people as well as my dream to have a private practice. I have myself experienced that life is not always what you dream it to be. There are many obstacles that fall in the way and life often feels out of our control. It can be he

art wrenching and overwhelming. I pursued my own therapy process about 5 years ago and it changed my life! I was very unhappy prior to pursuing therapy, as my life events had gotten the best of me. I was exhausted, lost, and an open wound. I know that this process is not an easy one, but absolutely worth every single aspect. Yes, it is an investment, both financially and emotionally. But I advocate for the therapy process very strongly. It works if you are willing to devote yourself to the process. I never ask anything of my clients that I have not or am not willing to do myself. Unfortunately, I figured out that our society treats many topics as taboo. I learned this the hard way through personal experience. These topics were often treated like they had a contagious disease attached to them. No one wanted to touch them and often turned a blind eye to the fact that they even existed. It then became my passion to advocate for those that have experienced these issues and provide support. It can often feel very lonely. Have you experienced difficulties with any of the below taboo subjects?

- Grief
- Trauma
- Sexual Abuse
- Self-Esteem
- Self-Love

I would love to help support you in your journey. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Phone: 720-336-0913

This deserves a permanent spot on the grid. Have you heard of EMDR? It’s truly an amazing evidence based therapy that has freed so many of my clients from the chains that trauma holds over their life.

✨ What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma-focused therapy that can help the brain process difficult or distressing experiences that may still feel “stuck.”

EMDR can be helpful for trauma, anxiety, and other experiences that continue to impact how you feel, think, or respond today.

Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what happened. It means helping your brain process it so it doesn’t have to keep carrying the same weight. 🤍

You don’t have to navigate healing alone.

Ever wondered what actually happens when you start therapy?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you don't know what to expect.

What will I talk about?
Will my therapist judge me?
What if I don't know where to start?
How long will therapy take?

The truth is, you don't have to have all the answers before you begin.

Therapy is a process. Your first session is an opportunity to begin getting to know your therapist, talk about what's bringing you in, and start identifying what you hope to work toward.

You don't have to tell your whole story on day one. You don't have to know exactly what you need. And you don't have to have the “right” words.

Your therapist is there to help guide you.

Over time, therapy can become a space to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, process difficult experiences, learn new ways of coping, and begin making meaningful changes.

You can start exactly where you are. 🤍

We've created a new blog to walk you through the therapy process and help you feel a little more comfortable taking that first step.

Special therapist in office today! ♥️

Clients loved having Riley in sessions today. This girl loves work and getting to greet clients as they walk in the door as well as be present with them through difficult moments.

Fall brings me joy. I’ve learned to there is importance in being grateful in the small moments that bring me joy. 🍂 Sometimes, joy isn’t found in the big moments. It’s found in the little ones. 🤍

The first sip of coffee in the morning.
A song that makes you smile.
Sunlight coming through the window.
A deep conversation with someone you love.
Laughing until your stomach hurts.
A quiet moment where you finally feel at peace.

Life can feel overwhelming, and sometimes we get so focused on what needs to change, what comes next, or what we haven’t accomplished that we forget to notice what is already good.

You don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect to experience joy.

Pause. Breathe. Look around.

There is beauty in the ordinary, and sometimes the smallest moments are the ones that remind us that life is still happening—and there is still so much to be grateful for. 🌿

What is one small thing bringing you joy today?

Thank you. ❤️

To each person who has trusted us with their story, their pain, their fears, and the parts of themselves that may feel difficult to share.

Thank you for allowing us to come alongside you during some of the most difficult and vulnerable experiences of your life. Thank you for trusting us with the pieces of your story that you may have carried quietly for years.

It is an incredible privilege to sit with you in the hard moments, to witness your courage, to celebrate your growth, and to remind you of your strength when you may have forgotten it yourself.

We don’t take that trust lightly.

Being able to care for you, support you, walk beside you is one of the greatest privileges of what we do.

Thank you for letting us be a small part of your journey. Thank you for trusting us. And thank you for allowing us to be with you as you find your way toward healing, hope, and a life that feels more like your own. 🤍

With so much gratitude,
Nurtured Hearts Counseling

Build a life that YOU are proud of. ♥️

Not a life that looks perfect from the outside. Not a life built around everyone else’s expectations. A life that feels authentic, meaningful, and genuinely yours.

Therapy can be part of that process.

It can help you understand the patterns that keep you stuck, work through what you’ve been carrying, set healthier boundaries, reconnect with yourself, and make choices that align with the person you want to become.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes building a life you’re proud of starts with simply getting curious about what you truly want—and giving yourself permission to pursue it.

Your life is worth building with intention. 🤍

Signs you’re emotionally exhausted—not lazy:

• You keep putting off simple things, even when you want to get them done.

• You feel tired before the day even starts.

• Small tasks feel disproportionately overwhelming.

• You’re more irritable, sensitive, or easily frustrated than usual.

• You have less patience for people—even people you love.

• You’re doing the bare minimum and feeling guilty about it.

• Things you normally enjoy don’t feel as enjoyable.

• You keep thinking, “Why can’t I just get it together?”

Maybe the problem isn’t that you need more discipline.

Maybe you’ve been carrying more than you realize.

Emotional exhaustion can make everyday life feel harder than it “should.”

So before you criticize yourself for not doing enough, ask:

“What if I’m not lazy? What if I’m depleted?”

And if this feels familiar, it may be worth paying attention to what your mind and body have been trying to tell you.

Save this for the days when you need the reminder. 🤍

Sometimes healing begins when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable enough to let someone sit beside us in the hard moments. ❤️

Healing can feel deeply personal. There are parts of our stories, experiences, and struggles that we each have to process in our own way. But that doesn’t mean we were meant to carry it all alone.

There is something powerful about being seen, heard, and supported by others. Whether it’s a trusted friend, family member, therapist, or supportive community, connection can remind us that we are not alone in what we are feeling.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to carry every burden alone. There is strength in reaching out, accepting support, and allowing yourself to be part of a community where you can feel safe, understood, and cared for.

We may do the inner work ourselves, but we don’t have to do it in isolation. 🤍
