Janice Dickinson is 71, and she looks better than she has in years.

I took a look at what appears to be going on, from her upper face all the way down to her neck. Some of it is subtle. Some of it you might not catch on a first look.

What stands out most to me is that nothing looks overdone. Her face looks refreshed, not pulled, and still very much like her.

That’s what a quality rejuvenation looks like when it’s done well.

Local anesthesia, twilight sedation, and general anesthesia all serve different purposes, but understanding the differences can make surgery feel a lot less intimidating.

What many patients don’t realize is that not every facial plastic surgery procedure requires general anesthesia.

I’ve been performing certain facial procedures under local anesthesia or minimal sedation for more than 20 years, and when appropriate, these approaches can offer patients a different surgical experience without compromising the goals of the procedure.

The decision isn’t about choosing the least amount of anesthesia possible. It’s about choosing the safest, most appropriate approach based on the procedure, your medical history, and your individual needs.

Everyone is talking about Emily Blunt’s new look, so I took a closer look.

A few things stand out when you compare the two photos. The shape of her eyes, the fullness of her mid face, and her jawline all look different.

I’m only going off what I can see, and I can’t say for certain what she’s had done. But there are patterns in these changes that I recognize.

Either way, she looks gorgeous.

Not every reason for considering a revision rhinoplasty means the same thing.

Breathing concerns, asymmetry, structural changes, or simply being unhappy with the final result can all warrant a closer look.

But judging your rhinoplasty at three months? That’s a different story.

At that point, your nose is still healing, swelling is still evolving, and what looks like a problem today may look very different once the tissues fully settle.

Rhinoplasty requires patience. Don’t judge the final result before you’ve actually reached it.

Sharpening the neck and jawline, correcting the ear shape, and improving chin projection while preserving natural facial proportions.

The result is a cleaner neck contour, ears that sit better with the rest of the face, and a chin that supports the profile instead of getting lost in it.

Great balance isn’t about changing everything, it’s about making sure each feature works with the others.

A facelift gets misunderstood as just pulling the skin tighter. It’s not.

As the face ages, you lose bone support in the cheeks and chin. The ligaments holding your facial structures in place start to loosen, and fat pads that used to sit higher begin to fall forward. That’s what creates jowls and deeper folds around the mouth, not just loose skin sitting on top.

If you only pull the skin back, none of that actually changes. The deeper structures stay exactly where they fell.

A real facelift works underneath the skin. It releases those loosened ligaments and repositions the deeper tissue back to where it used to sit, then lets the skin lie naturally over that new foundation.

The skin was never the operation.

Everyone’s looking at Robert De Niro’s face, but almost nobody notices his ears.

Turns out, ears age too. The lobes can lengthen, the cartilage and surrounding soft tissue shift, and the whole ear can start looking more prominent as skin loses elasticity over time.

It’s not that ears are actually growing. It’s a slow structural change that most people never think to look for.
